You must really hate America if you have a problem with diversity. I think your kkk hood might be cutting off circulation to your tiny little lizard brain.

If anyone in Paula Dean's age group denies ever using the N word, they are lying. It was the language we were raised with back then. That doesn't make you prejudiced. It's how you are conducting your life today that counts. She was being honest when asked if she ever used the word. And no, I am by no means a fan of Paula Dean. I just think she is getting a bum rap from everyone.

So it's okay when Lil Wayne stomps the flag in a rap video, but Paula Dean says "jig" 30 years ago and she's going straight to hell in a casserole dish.

I see Wal-Mart dropped her too, yet continues to sell shitty rap music filled with racial slurs.

You know you idiots are the ones that strain race relations. You are cowards and haters. Just DIE.
I guess calling someone a redneck isn't considered racist? This whole situation is ridiculous. She was asked in a deposition if she has ever used that word. She answered honestly and said yes. Does that make her a racist? I don't know. Ignorant, maybe. Insensitive, maybe. But who hasn't used that word? It doesn't matter if you said it in a derogatory manor, or repeated it in a story or sang along to a song. You said it. Why is it that everyone has to call it the 'n' word? You don't hear people saying the 'h' word when talking about the word honkie. People have become overly sensitive. Black people use the word all the time. It's in songs, in casual, friendly talks between friends. Ever hear someone say "hey my n****r, what's up my n****r"? Refering to a friend? Or I guess they end it with the letter A because that's supposed to be ok. It's just like the word gay. The younger population uses it to refer to something that is stupid or silly when they say "that's gay". Men use the word bitch everyday. Thats a derogatory term towards women. Should anyone whose ever used that word be under such scrutiny? Were women not at one time, and still, a minority? They earn less than men, etc. Words and there meaning evolve with time. Look up the N word or gay in the dictionary. There ORIGINAL meaning was not a derogatory word for someone that is black or a term for someone who is attracted to their own gender. We have become so sensitive that groups that were once "minority" are now given special privileges to have their own exclusive groups, TV stations, scholorships funds, etc that are exclusive to the exact group they want to be considered equal. You don't see any white entertainment television stations. Because those would be considered racist. How about doing away with all of these race specific groupings and have everyone be truly equal?? All of these companies, Walmart etc, are jumping on the bandwagon. Afraid they will get backlash from the black community. Yet they continue to sell CDs of musicians who use that word everyday. Again, how is that equal? Evolve people. Live and let live. And quit picking and choosing who can say what. Free speech. For everyone. Whether you like what someone is saying or not. How's that saying go? Opinions are like a-holes. Everyone's got one. And everyone thinks everyone else's stink. Wait. Is that racist to say? I don't want to offend all the a-holes out there.

I believe you have some serious anger issues. Do you have sex with your black friends? I have heard a large percentage of blacks are gay and a large number of them have stds. So be careful. Also you are incorrect that idiots like myself strain race relations. The black community are the ones to blame for keeping racism alive and well. You still haven't addressed the topic of this thread. Perhaps you don't know what a discussion forum is all about. Go back to the original post and you and your black friends can get together and come up with a response. As far as being a coward, I am not. As far as being a hater, you should look in the mirror, I sense alot of hate in your post. Do your black friends call each other the N word? You should change your name from whitey to wigger.

Why is it OK for Jeff Foxworthless to say say redneck, but if i say it - Im a racist. I think that there is a double standard here. Would it be OK for me to use the word if I were also ignorant white trash like Enward?

Get off your lawn chair, pool side, and jump on in. Apparently you didn't read the rest of the post. I really don't care what people say. Words like that don't offend me. Cause that is simply what they are, words. Comedians and people .....Jeff Foxworthy, Richard Pryer, etc use these words to make fun of themselves before anyone else can. That's what makes it funny. Just like fat comedians make fun of fat people. If you make fun of yourself, it's no longer funny for someone else. People are too damn sensitive. Get over it.

The reaction to Deen takes into account the context of her statements explaining her language.

For instance, her unremorseful account of how she beat the child of her black nanny just to see her sunburn blisters burst and the later jailing of that nanny for giving Deen a deserved spanking betrayed a wistful sadness that those days are over.
