Yes, I think Jimmy D and the others learned many things related to labor issues.

And how to "Clean Up Your Own Backyard", and how to "Find Out What's Happening", and, oh shucks, "I Really Don't Want To Know".
Thank you very much.

Here is another aspect of this story: Why send someone like Jimmy D. to this thing? For all we know he could retire in a month or two. He's certainly old enough and has the years in. So
wouldn't it make more sense to send someone else? How about someone who will probably be staying around the bureau of police for a few years? That way, the stuff learned at this "conference" can benefit the police department for a longer period.
Instead, all Jimmy D. is getting here is a nice little free vacation courtesy of the taxpayer.
We're sending someone out there to supposedly learn things who will not even be around to put these things to good use.
How stupid but then again this is Erie.
Did they go once or twice to Vegas?

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Capricorn

You'll have difficulty finding equilibrium in your emotional life at the moment; try to control the impulsive side of your character. At work, your usual powers of intuition will be clouded. Fits of feverishness may bother you and break down your energy. If you can get out into the countryside for a walk, you'll feel much better.
