Why does the Attorney General ignore the constant false advertising from John V Schultz? They continually run sales claiming 50% off everything in the store. The disclaimer states 50% off compared to prices. I recently went shopping for furniture. I didn't find any stores charging twice the John V Sxhultz 50% off price.

You're free to pay us double the advertised price at any time for anything in the store. Or, you can have it for half that. Hope this helps.

Because it's 1/2 off their pricing! Don't like to cost, move on.

Basista Furniture over around Cleveland has the best prices and free delivery. Schultz blows - it's too much like buying a car there. The sales people hound you like a herpe. Try Basista - so much better and the prices are awesome. We found stuff at Schultz's and emailed Basista and got it for almost 30% less.

Thanks for that tip. Apparently Erie shoppers are just stupid or lazy. That is why Schultz stays in business.

By no means am I defending John V, BUT 50% off, is off of manufacturers suggested retail price-not their actual selling price; if you go to Basista's website they advertise 40-60% off it.....
As for "free" delivery, there is no such thing- that cost is factored in to cost, just a spiffy marketing scheme used by many!
Last I knew, manufacturers suggested retail was about 2.25-2.5 x's cost, so "half off" leaves about a .25-.50 profit......
Mattresses are different story, everyone makes a killing on them profit-wise;
But seeing as they price match last i knew, if Basista is charging less for same furniture-why the heck would you bother with costs of gas and hauling it from Cleveland anyways???

exclaiming 50% off MSRP isnt fraud, retailers do it constantly, they just make sure the MSRP part is in fine print; haha do you really think they would see any profit if they sold at half off of something already half off? Not defending, just pointing out what it is

Say free delivery is factored in - they are still cheaper than schit bag Schultz. And if Basista is cheaper - why would I waste my time even going back to Schit bag Schultz when I've found it for less. Say what you will, but AFS is way over priced! You can take the info from Schultz and get the same furniture for less if you spend a little time to do some Googlin. Sounds like Robb is a Schultz employee to me. Or is that you and your ugly wife doing the commercials??!!

Shultz can give 50% off because of the money they save by not relocating at the Millcreek Mall.(Don't you listen to the commercials?)

Their starting prices are higher because instead of paying a Chinese slave child 40 cents a week they double it to 80 cents a week. They're good like that!

That's Arthur F. that did not relocate. John V. is on Peach Street. Not at the mall. You're all kinds of confused.

Hey look - it is GE's very own Robb McCarthy. Robb is a typical useless piece of shit worker. Spends most of his time out smoking or after work drinking acting like a real big asshole. Hey Robb, maybe you should go apply at Schultz's and take some of your furniture experience over there. We can't stnad your stpid, lazy, incompetant ass here. Can't wait to see you tomorrow!!

A couple of years ago I shopped around the area for furniture. I went from Erie, North East to Meadville. I ended up at the Amish Buggy. I was shocked thinking that their prices would be a bit higher. Matter fact they had a sale of 25% off. With only being 25% off it was still cheaper than Schultz by far. I ended up purchasing 2 queen sleeper sofas which I had the opportunity to pick out the swatches of fabric, style and wood that I desired. Another plus was it was made in the USA! Now the catch….The Amish Buggy charges out the wazoo for delivery, buy the mile and hour. I was lucky enough to go pick up my purchase, delivery charges would have been approx.$400 bucks!!! Can’t complain about the furniture.

Don't shop there. It is our jobs as consumers to do their homework as to compare prices. You would not pay "retail suggested price" on any new automobile.

John Schultz hires alot of people while the manufacturing jobs are not in Erie or anywhere else no more.

Wow, from one crooked store to the worst in town. Of course they would charge a high delivery fee. Better never let the owner- Keith stick it up your as_ Obaker tow your car. His West County Auto is the biggest rip-off in the towing world. He has come a long way, he started out parking his tow truck on the railroad tracks to collect the insurance money.
