The 'Rich' already have the highest tax bracket in the country. They pay far more than most people do. I'm just going to decrease my taxable income to avoid the hikes. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, hippy.

Ha Ha Ha the joke is on us taxpayers, we can't afford a tax lawyer, moving out of the U.S., or "buy a politician" or go to Hawaii all expenses paid by the taxpayers (3 million is spent)

They should have made the tax increase retroactive to make the swine pay back all the money they stole during the Bush years. It would probably eliminate the deficit.

Poor baby! I think if you make over 400,000 you can afford a tax lawyer.

The rich will pay more taxes. Then they can pass on their losses to the rest of us who need the goods and services they provide. End result.... the rich don't lose a dime while those dancing in the streets over these higher taxes ignorantly pay the freight. The jokes on everyone but the rich.

Isn't it always? The game is always stacked for those with the money. It has been that way since the beginning of civilization, it just looks different from time to time.

Those with the money do get to call the shots. Here's how.

Take people who own a lawn care business, a machine shop, or any particular business or businesses supplying goods and services.
Tax these entities more and see what happens. If you owned a business and now face increased taxes you would do one of three things. You would either pass the hit of the higher taxes on to your customers or keep the rates the same and unemploy a certain number of your work force.
The third option is that you could be a true patriot and gladly pay your " fair share ". My bet is that you would never choose that strategy. My bet is that an extreme few would ever even consider this an option.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Virgo

You have energy to burn today and it needs positive outlets, otherwise you'll be rather ratty and impatient. You want to work on activities that will show you in a good light, and you'll be annoyed if anyone objects to what you're doing or points out where you're going wrong. If you've been nursing a secret passion for someone, the frustration will really get to you.
