See your face at all meetings,[ No hide policy]
Address the rapidly growing crime issue.
Address the rapidly growing blight issue.
More police presence in high crime areas, permanently, not just a couple of months.
Stop the property tax increase, very few can afford this BS.
Yeah, re-peal that raise for mayor.
Better yet, pay -for-performance. If you do good, you get a bonus.
That does not include the number of block parties initiated, or firework displays given.
We are in desperate trouble here, and if people don't recognize that fact, they are smoking some quality stuff.
If your numbers about the pensions are correct, we are quickly headed towards becoming Detroit #2. Erie cannot bail anyone out.
Jon Whaley,

Please, please read this post. If you run on these ideas, your vote is mine. And many others too im sure.

Got it. My family loves the bullet point, no doubt. But is there a chance for the community to hear How these bullet points will be executed and not just stay bullet points. Are you speaking anywhere, or are there specific plans laid out anywhere? Our current mayor has been running on most of those bullet points as well, but sadly they never make it past a powerpoint presentation. We need an MVP on the field, not just pep rally rhetoric.

Would you fire and replace Kim Green, Fred Rush, and Dave Deter?

If so, who would you hire to lead the economic development departments.

East Avenueis dying?.....Its been dead for 40 years!....so is Parade street , State street, 12th Street, Our Industrial base ,Our school system, how many more do you want me to name .You think a refurbished bridge of no real value to nowhere when a brand new access is one block west is going to solve the East Avenue problem? Not a chance, truth is Erie now should be a city of about 250,000 people, it has 101,000 & declining ,industry is gone , people are leaving & city government is not capable of organizing a 2 car funeral. The town is a joke & this is the reason East Avenue & all the rest of the town is dead or dying.
Tell you what....go to City Council & the Mayors Office, If they even listen to you, their response would be to suggest a "We love the East Bridge day festival" which they would claim 1000,000 people would attend & be seconded by the Erie Times News.
Erie died when Tullio had the brilliant transitway mall idea. He must have gotten kickbacks from the construction companies.

Exactly. Hopefully the ditz becomes county executive. She will then get rid of the county employees gold healthcare coverage and throw them into an exchange.

EVERY department head would have to re-apply for their jobs.EVERY one. Some would NOT be re-hired and since all of those folks worked with me already, they know who they are....
Kim Green is head of ERA and cannot be fired by the mayor.

Looked at your website, and saw the first statement is wrong. You say Erie fell to 4th place in PA population "in the last 8 years." It happened in the 2000 census, which is 13 years and two mayors before Sinnott.
http://www.goerie.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article... If you don't have a grasp of such an easily accessible and salient fact about the City of Erie, who would expect you know much about any of the other things you expect to handle?

I stand corrected...I also learned that we fell by an additional 2% in size in past ten years while Allentown grew 11%.
I will fix mistake on website, thanks for helping.

Jon: All 5 economic groups in Erie are a waste of taxpayer money. You need to start a petition about the top 10 things that need to be fixed immediately in Erie. Get signatures at sned it to the Mayor. The business community is still waiting on the Mayors Turnaround Plaan to begin from 5 years ago. He did nothing but give the report to the head of the Sewer Authority to implement 5 years ago. He claimed he wanted the business communities input but when he got the business communities input he did nothing.

When a Mayor is not experienced or capable of implementing his turnaround plan for the city, that is a problem.

Well, not everyone.

I think the pay for performance is a great incentive. At the end of the year, you tally the positive accomplishments done for the citizens and get a bonus to match.

How do you intend to address the blight issue?

How quickly will you implement a plan to address out of control crime?

Why did you wait this long to speak up?

Our best bet is to raze the entire town, level it, plant corn & gift it to the Seneca Indian reservation so they can build a Casino here that will attract people unlike the horse barn we presently have.
I read what you wrote and I'am seneca and the last thing you want to do is build a casino. I left the reservation because I was tired of everyone back home being jealouos and mad at each other all the time. NYS ruined the cigerette business that I was in and I was robbed of almost a quarter of a million dollars by what I thought was a good Seneca women, and her kids tried to poison me In which I happen to survive. If Erie wants to prosper? Make a deal with Donald Trump and he'll bring you a world of trade with other nations plus a casino you would,nt believe. Being a port city Erie should have no trouble bringing better business to the area.
