I took three of my children at two different times to get their teeth cleaned. I scheduled them for the first appointments of the day, 9:00 a.m.. Both times the children were in the office for over TWO hours! One of them took two and a half hours. My kids are young adults and they all reported that the people cleaning their teeth paid more attention to what was going on in the office than what they were doing. I will NOT go back to that office again!

And I thought I was the only parent that had a bad experience with All About Smiles? I would dare say that this is one of those "fly-by-night" dental clinics?

The one Dentist didn't even want to examine my daughter due to her severe phobia of the Dentist. He actually wrote a prescription for Valium - and my daughter is 9 years old!!!!! WTF!? He wanted her to be "relaxed" before he would even look at her teeth. I walked right out of there, ripped the prescription into a dozen pieces and immediately found a nicer dental group for my children.

Stay away from All About Smiles!

Take your kids to Dr. Garcia. He is a great pediatric dentist.

Garcia and Demarco on state street are excellent choices!

What about Dr. Mahoney? I've seen his commercials on TV for sleep dentistry - how is he as a dentist?

I just recently got my wisdom teeth extracted there while put asleep and a week later my face is still numb. I did some research and come to find out that something very rare and horrible had happened. They permanently damaged the inferior alveolar nerve near the mental foramen causing the left side of my lower lip and chin have a permanent painfull numbness tingling feeling! Im not positive that is what happened because they wont return my phone calls to have it looked at again. Not sure I wanna go back there anyway!

I'm on the phone with my sister as I type this. She is telling me of her horrible visit this week to All About Smiles. The dentist took 3 hours for 2 root canals side by side. This dentist broke three drills off in her tooth, they took x rays and showed them to my sister. The drill bits are still inside her teeth. The dentist them made the remark to her and said "it doesn't matter how your teeth are filled in, as long as they're filled in". What can we do about this??

wow, im scheduled to get my wisdom teeth extracted while put to sleep. reading the above comment about permanent nerve damage, are you serious? can that really happen? i already have somewhat of a phobia with the dentist and have been reluctant to allow them to put mne down not knowing what can happen while being out of it. i thought that dr julius was just a happy tooth puller or something. instead of recovering my teeth like the other dr there he wanted to pull them out. come to find out thats all that dr julius does, extract teeth. i cant remember the other dentist there but hes very caring to my phobia of the dentist. provided ear phones for my phone to keep me distracted from the drill noise and numbs me before shots. god, im so worried about these extractions now.

Horrible, horrible horrorible. I called and made an appointment with these people for an abcess and due to a heart condition wanted an appoitment ASAP. When I got there they were overbooked and since I was a new patient were more concerned about cleaning my teath than looking at my more important problem! They had said that since I arrived at 2:45 for the 3:00 appoitment that there wasnt enough time to do the paperwork and the appointment and if I could come back later that would be better. Fortunately I found a dentist that took me in quickly. If it were not for the seriousness of my condition I would not have been so mad. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!

Apparently beggars CAN be choosers. You guys are the ones that don't have the cash to make your $3 co-pay, but you can afford Newport cigarettes (which are expensive) and are driving an 08 or newer vehicle. There are people that work at jobs that don't provide insurance, health or dental, and make too much to get Access, Gateway, or Unison that would greatly appreciate to be in your position. You could always go to to Community Health Net or Summit Dental. Btw crazy bad, did you even read the consent form you obviously signed for your wisdom teeth extractions??? I think there is something in there about possible parasthesia. All I'm saying is be happy you have insurance and there is a place that accepts it. Many dentists don't work with state insurances because they don't pay as much as they should.

My daughter had an appointment on sept 9th and the dentist office called me on the 8th and said the dentist was sick and we had to reschedule. I rescheduled the appt. for sept 23rd at 11am. I drive from Pittsburgh to Erie to get my daughter to her appt for them to tell me she is not scheduled. They never put it in the computet when they called me. They tried telling me they would schedule it for next thursday. No Way... Are they gonna pay for my gas for there screw up? I have to sit here and wait for them to squeeze her in. ive been waiting an hr and a half already. I just want to know why I have to pay for there screw up and have to waste my day in there office. Worst experience ever
I would not recommend this dentist office to anyone!!

I was just there about a not even a week ago. I will never go back again. The dentist was rude. He asked me how old i was and i told him in my early 20s than he turned around oh you need all of your teeth pulled. Every single one of them. WTF. Im in my early 20s. All i wanted was my last 2 wisdom teeth gone. Nope he will not do it. I am use to having my own room, there you dont get your own room even when they knock you out, everyone can see you even the people who is getting there teeth cleaned. Than he said i need a filling and was talking about needles, umm i told him no needles i have a panic attack when i see them, seeing them going to my face umm nope not going to happen. I would advise anyone going there, DONT. After i want there i had heard some things that happened to the people that had gone there and i do not want it to happen to me. I found a different dentist that will sit and listen to you and help you out. I will never go back there again. Oh and also when the nurse person who ever she is was cleaning my teeth i have never had a problem until after that. My bottom tooth is lose plus it hurts now also my gums were swelled and hurting. I have never had a problem with a dentist till i went there. I walked out in tears because of what they said. Come on in my early 20s and wants to pull all of my teeth. Like i said i will never go back

All About Smiles is a truly horriable place. I used to take my 3 children there--never again. They are NOT nice people and really couldn't care less about the job that they do.

I have some "ins" with this dental office, and I still was not taken care of. You know, usually when you know someone very well who works for someone you go and see, usually you get a little bit more attention paid to you. Not these clowns! They are concerned with chatting with one another and keeping up on who did what last weekend, or what is going on this weekend. FOCUS ON YOUR JOB AND YOU'D HAVE MUCH HAPPIER CUSTOMERS!

I have never had anything done to my teeth before. I only needed my 4 wisdom teeth pulled. When they told me to come in for my first appointment, the receptionist said I would see the oral surgen and have an x-ray taken. I drove 1 hr and 20 min. For an x-ray and did not see the surgen. They scheduled my surgery for 10am in August. One my way there, I got a call at 9am(mind you I had to be there at 9:45)to re-schedule for 12:30 later that day. I didn't get in until 1:15. When I did go back, they put me to sleep right away-which I liked. I could feel him pull the tooth I am having problems with now. There were no directions on what to look for regarding healing or infection. Now I have a fever and cannot open my mouth more than an inch. It will be 3 days tomorrow. I don't want to go back, but I don't now what to do. Yes, I appreciate the fact that they take my insurance. There could be bedside manner and better instructions of care after the extraction.
