I just seen a local news broadcast about Edial Marketing located in Griswold Plaza. Apparently they hope to have 1000 new jobs in Erie within the next year. Anyone work there? What's it like?

I'd be sceptical with Bill at the helm. He ran Engage IT into the ground, then Erie Computer. I'm going to pass on that place. Hope it works out, though.

Seems kind of shady. The news story basically said that you start out at minimum wage with the possibilty of make a family sustaining wage of 40-50k a year?? From the looks of some of the employees, I highly doubt that. Seems like if you sell a lot of product/srvices you could make a family sustaining wage based on commision. It might be a good replacement for West Telemarketing type jobs but its sad that the expectations of Erie are so low that telemarketing work is hailed as being a savior. If you have to go throug a temp agency to get hire, that is saying something as well. I guess in this case faimily sustaining wages means you can earn enough to pay the rent and to buy a loaf of bread to sustain your family.

What he said on TV. He said all these reps that you see here are making minumum wage but they "wont be there for long"...most reps will make 40-50k. You have got to be kidding me. Maybe certain outbound comission reps will but who wants to do that job.

I would beware. 2000 employees my foot. I hope he tells his customers more of the truth then the lies he just told the Erie public!

Bill did not run Erie Computer or Engage IT into the ground. Bill Sold Erie Computer to Dave Freeman and it is still doing well. Bill sold Engage IT to Surf Erie and it too is still around.

Maybe if people would just stop and take a look at what Bill has really done for Erie, people would realize that at least he tries to make this a better place and is one of the few business who has stuck their neck out there.

I work there and make almost $1,500 my first week. And I didn't have to sell a thing. This is not a call center - it is a Business and Business Engagement Center. Commissions are not given on sales, but on transactions and information gathered per a contract with a customer.
Before criticizing, maybe you should come down and take a look. Even ask for a tour, talk to some of the employees and see what is going on. I wanted to talk to Bill before I started and he spent almost an hour with me. I am sure he would be happy to talk to you as well as describe the positions and how the income is generated.
But before bad mouthing the place, you should see all the good the company is doing. Come on down - talk to people.

I sent my resume to jobs@edialmarketing.com and got a call back within 24 hours...I think remedy is only one of the places that assists hiring people at eDial. Some are direct hires and some others are from other agencies.

It was explained to us that eDial uses a variety of recruiting sources as they need a lot of people and no one company can provide the number of employees the company needs at this time.

Whatever you say. The amount of money that eDial would have to bill a client to have each rep make 40-50k would drive them back offshore! Give me a break.

Funny how they are all making min wage now though..

While its all well and good to criticize anonymously, send any concerns or questions to the CEO at bill@edialmarketing.com

The clients pay a flat rate and we, as agents, handle more than one thing at a time.

So, do be a sissy mr. Skeptical.... Send the CEO an email and man up to your comments. You might just learn that some people are good and honest.

Where are they going to put all these 2000 people when they are stretched at 150 (if that is really a true number)

Not be be a total jerk but have you see their website? It looks like a high school kid did it.

This whole thing looks extremely shady to me. Be wary all you customer service reps thinking you are about to make 50k on the phones.

Agreed, if they are going to grow by such leaps and bounds, why wouldn't they just move into the former WEST communication site that is sitting empty on West 38th Street. Regardless of what the pay rate is, not really the quality-type jobs Erie needs to boost its economy. But history proves, quality companies with top-notch jobs don't want to be here!
