Why would someone in Georgia care about this ?

Who says he cares? This poster was just reporting a possibility without revealing whether he cared or not.Personally I don't care either but find the thought of G.E. pulling out interesting.

Born and raised in Erie and lots of my friends still live there. Hate to see the town going in the crapper. used to be a great city ot live in...not anymore. Current city leaders have NO CLUE. City will continue its losses unless someone wakes up real fast.

Since the GE plant is based in Lawrence Park and not the City of Erie, what can could they possibly offer GE? While I agree that those in office can be at times out of touch, the city has nothing to offer to a business outside of the city limits

Hey a-hole...we don't care what your problems are on California. Erie firefighers don't make $90k a year. Go smoke some more dope loser.

Hey a-hole...

I need you to do your math homework!!!

So if the average firefighter “makes” about $60,000 a year…

Let’s divide just the benefits of $5,777,862.00 (that’s millions) by 139…(the budget roster count)

$5,777,862.00 (that’s millions) divided by 139 =$41,567.00

$60,000.00----- a year
$41,567.00----- benefits

Can you add that for me???

Tell me when you get to $90,000.00

Go smoke some more dope loser.

a-hole...

Mark this date, folks. GE is leaving Erie. The "adding jobs" to Erie plant is a cover up.

Exactly! But will Obama's ties with Jeff Immelt keep him from intervening in this instance?

Of Course GE is leaving Erie. They don't want to get the rep that their locomotives are made in little Detroit. They want people to think they are made by good ol boys in Texas.

back in the 80's there stood a sign on the TX property "Furture Site of GE Transportation Division". Now that was 30 years ago, ask yourself what prompted their decision now? i know, the answer lies in Idaho. shhhhhh :)

Is Lorenzo Simonelli as big a douch bag as he appears? When he appears at public functions he seems to be an arrogant little f--k, just wondering?

Never been introduced to the guy personally. You don't get where he is, at his age, by mingling and befriending production. He will do what he must to impress shareholders and execs and move on up.
