There is no making Erie " a better place " anymore. It's done, it's toast, and will only move in one direction and that's downward. And you know it too.
This "clown " chooses to sit back comfortably and watch it all unfold as it is destined to do. There's no sense in me investing time, resources, or concern anymore into something so determined to self destruct. I'm not alone in this thought and inaction. There are many of us who know that Erie is lost yet choose to remain until a career runs it's course and we can seek better venues for retirement. Many young people choose to hit the road after college with more staying away than coming back. We know this because Erie's census drops every year, especially among the best and brightest of the younger crowd. The often mentioned "brain drain" is a serious issue here, and you know that too. What remains then are more of the old, the poor, and the uneducated. Not a good formula for upward community growth is it ?
Supporting perpetual losing entities is for fools and I have learned, after a lifetime of Erie area living and observation to remove myself from the deterioration. I use Erie's never ending buffoonery as examples of the ruinous pitfalls my family must learn to avoid. I believe that Erie's purpose has been reduced to serve as a valuable reminder to other American cities and wiser citizens how not to conduct business and their lives lest they too end up on a one way train to nowhere.

We can't wait for you to get out of town either! Hopefully when Highmark merges with the hospital they'll give you your pink slip and you can get out of here even earlier!

Nice try but you're just a bit off. Very active my entire life. Planet Fitness every day for an hour anytime between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. depending on my schedule. Played golf at Riverside today too. Working hard so as to avoid the wheelchair my friend. Do keep tossing garbage at the wall though, maybe some day some of it will stick for you.
Mad that I choose to check out of the Erie mess and then tell you about it huh ? Thought so. Dont' like it, ignore my posts. That's not so hard now is it ? It's still a free country and no one is obligated, after taxes, to go out of their way to support losing ventures like Erie. In fact, throwing good resources into a swirling crapper is down right lunacy. But let me ask you this, do you still stare into the bowl looking for a positive sign only to watch a turd dissolve before your eyes ? Do you actually believe Erie will " turn it around " ? You'd be better served to work on an alternative plan that will pay dividends later instead of wasting valuable resources on wished for improvements that will never happen.

The low information Democratic loyalists will never comprehend what you posted. I mean after all the Democrats run on their record of progress every election & have won for 50 years, how could you be right?
Every day a planeload of out best & brightest leaves Erie while a plane load or a bus full of Middle East ,African or Eastern European immigrants arrives to replace them.Someday this might work out but certainly not in our life times.
Almost every business has left or is planning to do so but tourism will save us all....the sad thing is people believe we do not need meaningful jobs & the brain drain continues.
I am of an age where my my need to labor is over , I have sufficent resources to live my life out in relative comfort.
Were I in my youth I would run to the airport, bus station or train depot & get out of Erie to make a life somewhere else floating in the seaweed off the beach where Erie lies rotting in the sun like a dead carp.

Hey I was out celebrating that we queers can marry. Who cares about jobs and economic matters as well as a myriad of social problems. Just shut up and pay your school tax increase and let the Democrats take care of everything. Man you are a God!!!!

Trust me, I know the low information Democrat loyalists lack the capacity to understand. I just enjoy telling it like it is knowing full well how I yank the chains of these imbeciles who will forever cling to their losing ways.
It's fun actually, exposing the goofballs and reading their perverted reasoning for doubling down on failed behaviors. That's why I no longer dole out empathy or concern for these buffoons that step in it each and every day and never contemplate taking another path.

A very lazy and ignorant populace has allowed these " misguided leaders " to ruin things over a very long period of time. I don't see Erie people wising up any time soon. Do you ?!

Lots of people talking smack about Erie and Democrats, but what visionary ideas do the Republicans have for improving the city?

Anything?

Wait, I forgot that Republicans don't actually have any interest in governing. They only want to make life harder for poor people, gays, women, and anyone else that doesn't agree with them.

That's the Republican idea of progress...make life harder for the vast majority of people so the affluent can become slightly more affluent.
