Simonelli is my hero. I hope the GE Union fools starve to death. This is the happiest day in my life. I hate unions.
Leonard, you're just a troll. You don't know why you believe the way you do, you're just told to, so you follow along. Why don't you move on?

Thousands will lose their job in Erie. Thousands of American families will be impacted in the name of greed. This isn't a Union issue... Erie's loco facility has been cranking out quality locomotives for 100 years, union or not, and now this is how they're repaid.

Texas isn't sitting much better. The wages are hardly "competitive", Peterbuilt pays 10 more per hour for less responsibility and a better work environment, Frito Lay is 6 more per hour to bag chips. The workforce currently at GE is still in the honeymoon phase... it's all "We can do it, lets prove those Erie workers wrong!"... 6 months from now they'll be looking for new jobs, I'm already hearing it. The turnover rate will be insane.

I truly am sorry for the losses of jobs in Erie, and I hope you guys land on your feet. I hope the GE takes care of us TX employees, but realistically I think that's unlikely.

Hate to hear so many layoffs, but after reading some of the hate for the Texas plant can't say I blame them. We might make a lower wage but with the cheap health care, Lower cost of living and thousands in personal equipment I ain't complaining. Not to mention the tuition reimbursement and countless other benefits including 8 weeks of college courses we got when hired. Shoot We all got tickets to NASCAR for our families. Say what you want about our nonunion plant but we as a group of outspoken hard working texans/and a hand full of mexicans will get more done together then any union officials at zero cost to ourselves. Hows that for wealth management.

Thank you for those kind words, but not deserved. Mr. Paduka has a mean streak, just like me. I believe that the Erie works should have been closed years ago. Finally management has another facility to gradually place its work. I am surprised it took them so long to move forward and leave the non-productive labor (ahem) behind. The union wrecked the future of GE and Erie long ago.

Only a fool wouldn't have seen the writing on the wall with that new Texas plant. The Great Free State of Texas is a right-to-work and business friendly state. God Bless Texas. That Kommie moron living in the White House could learn a thing or two from the Free State of Texas. I hope you union tools starve and end up on the street. You deserve it for screwing the GE all of these years. i hate unions. They're nothing but commie front groups that protect dead wood loser workers. On closing...make sure you re-elect all of those Democratic thieves you love to put into office. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh Denocrats will continue to be elected. you can bank on that. I truly hope that YOU live in Texass , youd fit right in .... You lost get over it .
