It was cool to be in a band in your teens and 20s. Over 40, not so much.

It's actually a gift from God to be an excellent, tasteful guitarist at any age...but when you're 40+ years old playing the same old music and chords from when you were 16, pretending it's still 1985, that's a little funny lookin' in my opinion.

Anyone that ain't just sittin in front of a TV or in front of computer, and is out doing what they like to do is okay with me. It's really easy to criticize the doers because they're not "the best" players. This world needs more doers and less lazy, armchair perfectionist haters and whiners.

I agree with Mary, if your doing something that makes you happy and your life a little fuller then go for it. I teach my kids as long as your not negatively harming others, do what makes you happy. If everyone didn't do anything because of haters, what a dull bitter world we would have.

I agree with Sly and Mary. It's no crime to get old. If you can still do what you love and people like it, then do it.

Over 40 you shouldn't be in a band? Since when? 40 in this day and age is very young.

Look at Paul McCartney & The Rolling Stones who are still performing to sold-out crowds. They are the best ever.

Sad that people live here so much they can tell when someone is using a fake name.
