In July 2007 my face was cut by a repeat offender out on parole. Mr Bob Sambroak never conducted an investigation nor did he seek statements from any eyewitnesses. He allowed this offender to sit in ECP for 14 months and then 6 days before trial he offered this man a plea of Endangering the welfare of another individual punishable with 2-12 months time served. Now here's the the injustice... A stipulation of the plea was that my name and the assault were not to be mentioned in court. As if this scar is not on my face. It never happened? I was never notified of the proceedings. I learned of them when I called toe DA's office to inquire about subpeonas that were never sent out. I cannot be the only person that has suffered in the hands of Mr Sambroak. He gave this statement recently;"Win or lose, they should leave court knowing they had a fair shot." As a VICTIM I never got a fair shot. I guess it wasn't important to Assistant DA Sambroak. My question is, What is important to him if a regular person like me means nothing to him? If I were his own daughter would he have allowed my name to be silenced? Would his daughter recieve this justice? I hope someone sees the injustice.

It’s unfortunate what happened to you, and I feel deeply for you. However, I highly doubt Mr. Sambroak and/or the District Attorney’s Office dropped the ball in your case.

He is still the most qualified candidate for the job.

I was the victim of an aggravated assault. Sambroak and Agresti blew the case and allowed the guy to walk. When I called to find out why the case was dismissed despite three eyewitnesses and an admission of guilt, Sambroak started to yell at me and blamed it on Agresti. Agresti blamed it on Sambroak.

This guy loses the most of anyone-just tries to wing it in court. Ask the woman above, she knows, as well as a lot of other victims.

Totally disagree.

And prosecutors make lousy judges.

Bottom line is there really aren't any candidates that are qualified to become judge. Very sad group of candidates indeed. They pretty much are running because they are mediocre attorneys and need a guaranteed income. The mayor is the same way. He makes more money as mayor as he did suing people.

Christina, Here is the answer to your question. Your case was handled in this manner because the so-called "offender" who sat in jail for 14 months was not the person that cut you. Another person did. This other person admitted as much in recorded calls from the prison. Other physical evidence pointed to this other person as well. Mr. Sambroak made the unpopular - but just - decision to convict the offender of only the crime he committed. He made the right decision for the right reasons, and he will do the same as judge.(Your boyfriend who was in the bar that night while on state parole and who beat an unsuspecting patron with a pool stick didn't help your case).

I'm wondering when someone finally starts to question the certain local ins. company involved as well. I find it interesting how this particular insurance company has mastered the art of victimizing the innocent and then creating the appearance as the victim; not in Joyce's case but other cases.

Damon Hopkins is the BEST! Foulk was wrong to fire him. As soon as HOPKINS is judge he will show everyone.

I heard that Foulk made an excellent choice in deciding to TERMINATE Hopkins. My vote goes for the Sambroak. I was leaning towards him and now that the BAR recommended him, I'm suppoting him 100%

I would like to know when "we, the people" are going to look into the character of some of these guys! What kind of a society do we live in where men in public office/positions can have numerous affairs and sexual exploits (not just in the Erie county court house..but the Oval office even!) And we just look the other way and continue to elect them into positions of power. If they can't manage their own lives how are they going to manage the lives of others we elect them to serve?!

That's their personal problem, not ours. We elect them, and they make decisions based on the LAW. Plain and simple.

VOTE FOR SAMBROAK!!!
