How about the hypocrisy of the ETN. They supported and pushed for obama and his card check platform and were against outsourcing of jobs. They then turned around and laid off all their union printers and had their paper printed out of town. Liberal Hypocrites.

I think we had a paper called "The Erie Press" which was a very good news source at the time.

Back in the early to mid '60s, I delivered the ETN Sunday edition in Oil City. The Derrick nor News Herald did not print on Sunday..

they still don't print on Sundays, the Derrick or the T-ville Hearld. But you can purchase the ETN. Some places they do delivery, I can only receive them my mail....two days late :\

I'm a 'junkie' for hometown news, I have subscribed to the internet edition..

Originally I started as a means to check the Oil City hospital as I had several siblings who never left the nest, and they abused my parents, and they would never inform me when they had to be admitted to the hospital... They are both gone now, and The Derrick no longer has the hospital listing. I think it is a privacy issue.

Wow, sorry to hear that. They quit posting that info a few years ago i'm sure due to HIPA as you said. Never knew that you were a "ridge runner". Hubby works around Venango, Warren, Mercer & Forest, but his office is in OC. We don't live in that area but my kids attened school at the VTC. Hour and a half ride to school each day. Well worth the trip.

I found that receiving the internet editions you don't see all the photos and activites that the kids are involved in. Basically the same info that you get in the ETN.
