Maggie Lopez used to be a living human being. She was accidently killed by a drunk driver. Who's fault caused this death?
In Montana, it used to be legal until three years ago to drink alcohol and drive a vehicle on any state road. Drunk driving was illegal but it was legal to drink and drive. We are changing. And for the better.
This drunkard, Elizabeth Rhodes, killed someone. That's wrong.

There was nothing "accidental" about this.

Even if proven guilty, it won't matter. Because our state, like many others, is easy on drunk drivers that even kill people.

Finally. I have been wondering when these charges would finally come. I am so glad the real is story is finally out and that it confirms what most us suspected and some denied.

Toss this chic in jail.

Now I'm interested to see what kind of sentence she'll receive. It will never be enough, but I hope she gets the maximum penalty allowed by law. It just sickens me that she didn't get help before it came to this. I'm convinced people like her think of absolutely no one but themselves. Sickening.

This young lady was out of control and THEN got behind the wheel and became a Killer, if only our young people could learn to NOT drive drunk this tragic death would not be haunting BOTH familys.

I can see where everyone is comming from.. This was a terrible tragidy. You can never get this woman back.
But, I know this girl and her family. They are all good, caring, kind people.. She made a terrible terrible mistake and will be paying for it the rest of her life.. Young people dont think these things can happen to them. Unfortunately it happened. It was not intentional and she still has a good heart and comes from a loving family.

She should get at least as serious a charge as the Deputy that killed the Motorcyclist in Lakeville(?), a good stiff slap onthe wrist should teach her!!

I agree with "other side of the fence" i also know this girl i went to school with her. they are good people. no one can punish Beth more than the fact that she has to live everyday knowing that she took a life. from another good person! that will always be there for her. and she will do whatever the court appointed punishment is. but i will not judge her

All well and good but she needs to go to jail. It wasn't a "mistake".

I knew her a little bit from seeing her at a couple different bars many times. She definetly had a drinking problem. She was very drunk numerous nights a week. I saw her throwing up numerous times. She passed out in the bathroom and had to be carried out.
I think it is true what they say about preachers kids. Once they get out from under their dads thumb they go wild because they have been held back so long. When they finally get a chance to do something they do it and then don't know how to handle it.

She was a very nice, friendly, beautiful girl though. It is really to bad this had to happen to either side of this incident. When will people learn? Kids never think this will happen to them. Even though she was legally an adult she was immature for her age. Not an excuse though. She still needs to be punished for what happened. It wasn't an accident in the sense that she chose to drink and drive, but she never intended to kill anyone. People just don't think through the possibilities of their actions and think it will never happen to them.

As for the people that say everyone drives drunk sometimes---YOU ARE IDIOTS!! Just because you and the people you hang out with do it doesnt mean everyone does. It is time to grow up!!!
