Just so you'll know, Every snowball stand gets their flavoring from the same source. Bubble gum snowball purchased anywhere is made with the same concentrate. Banana purchased anywhere is made from the same stuff. Now what the real difference is, is some places make their syrup proper, and some don't. You can make syrup that has 4 pounds of dissolved sugar per gallon, or 6 pounds of sugar per gallon.(about 1 out of 3 snowballs stands makes light syrup.) Its very easy to tell who doesn't know how to make the syrup. If you get a snowball, and the juice is very watery, all the flavoring goes strait to the bottom, and after you suck it up thru the straw, you don't have much flavor left in the ice. The syrup has to be fairly thick to stick to the ice, and keep flavor in the ice. I ate a snowball at the stand in Erath lately, and it was watered down. So if the juice is the same, then how do you separate yourself from the masses? The ice. There are two types of snow machines. The old time shave ice, looks like a sausage grinder. And then there is the fine fluffy ice. This one is much smoother.
Then there is the idiot running some stands, who doesn't throw out the ice when it needs to be thrown. When snowball ice has been sitting for a while (waiting for you to show up so you can get the second hand ice. Retarded snowkeeper doesn't want to toss out .02 cents worth of ice.) Ice that has been sitting for a while doesn't accept the syrup well. Then there is the other retarded snowkeeper, who puts the ice in the freezer while waiting for you to show up. Then the snow is chunky and hard. Cost to make a 16 ounce 1.50 snowball? About .11 cents. So with such a good profit margin why do they skimp on sugar

Sounds like someone trying to scrounge up some business! I've been going to the same snowball stand for almost 10 years now and I can't even tell you the name of it! Only know it as the one on Lafayette St.
