Does anyone know where Rob Perillo from KATC went to? I tried tuning in for his forecast and heard one of the girls say that Dave Baker would now be joining them in the evenings. THEN... this morning Rob wasn't there - it was Dave Baker again. Rob is like my morning coffee...

Yes, he is like my morning coffee also!
And his wife makes these cookie type treats, that are incredible.Kind of like a sugar cookie waffle... Very wonderful family. Is this true that he is the Bahamas? Hope all is well and he will be returning too.

Agree Tifi, rain clouds off the African coast all year long, but, during hurricane season all of our local weathermen want to be the first to state that the rain cloud could be a potential hurricane and they'll keep an eye on it for us. LOL My god it's only 8000 miles away!

Mais chere, I have to told you that you need to remember the one and only Floyd Sonnier. He knew how to tell what the weather wanted to do before they had all them fancy computers that don't know how the weather is want to act.
That man one time told me one of his secret was to hang a lil piece of rope outside and if the rope was wet then it was raining and if is was a swinging then the wind was a blowing but if the rope was dry then the sun was out and make sure you wear sun tan lotion.

Kmsl!
But you know the bad part about dat is I used to watch Floyd too as a kid.
Weather sho was different back den.
One of my favorite weathercasters( dey didn't have meteorights back den) was Sid Crocker at wafb(ch9).
And drought la, Pat shingleton is still going strong at wbrz.
I drank a few beers with pat in the late seventies. He was quite the character. Way back then they had a clear weatherboard with magnetic numbers attached to depict current temps. He was forecasting a cold night ahead with rapidly dropping temps when he accidently(who knows) bumped the board and some numbers fell to the floor on live tv!
Was he embarrassed? Hell no.
He gazed briefly to the floor then looked the camera straight in the eye and told the audience, " See? Told ya they would fall rapidly"! They're falling as we speak.
Ahhhh, the good old weather days.
