The place is a gold mind. Most owners just get exusted and help is to much to deal with. The current owners most likely need a rest. That place does well because it is a dinner place that has a bar. Most people who would not be seen in a "BAR" can rationalize getting shit faced there. By the way,the place looks like shit since they removed the bushes. It looks barren. Good luck to who ever buys it. Do not change a thing or you will kill it. And be prepared to work your ass off.

I seen a fir sale sign in front of the old station next door not in front of the restaurant, I really do not believe it to be for sale. If its For Sale, why not out the sign right in the front of the Resturant? Hello...
NOTFADEAWAY did you hear it was for sale? I sure didn't...

Nobody sells a business when it is on top. They always offer it for sale when its on its way down. This is no exception. First of all, Mexican food is weak. Its poor folk food with a lot of cheese on it. I"ve never eaten great food at a mexican restaurant. Beans and cheese.

I'm inclined to disagree. I have seen thriving businesses sold due to poor health. Or the owner wants to retire. I know that the former owners sold to the current owner because the were just plain sick and tired of the long hours and hard work. Plus they have had another thriving family business for many years. I have several businesses around the country. I may sell and retire myself in the future. I also love Mexican with extra cheese! Have you ever been to this establishment?

I don't eat at mexican restaurants. I will pass them up if there is something else in the area. Occasionally, I will eat there when someone else chooses the eatery. sorry you dont believe me when I say I don't care for mexican food.

I passed behind the El Camino on Mardi Gras morning about 1000 and saw all the chairs outside and the owner had the tailgate of his truck full of cleaning supplies. They were cleaning up.

Come on people. When you see a f'n For Sale sign, it is usually placed in a very f'n obvious place directly in front of the building for sale.

So, is El Caminos for sale or not? Somebody that lives in Abbeville, go for a ride right now and see, then come back on topix and post exactly what you see. Leave out all speculation.

I happen to like El Caminos for the steak and the atmosphere aint that bad on the west side of the resturant. Id be upset if it was closing down.

No sign in FRONT! I personally think putting an extended Courtyard directly in front with huge beams would look really good and design it where you could have outdoor entertainment with tables, sitting bar and those Hacienda lights on at night with huge terra cotta pots with PALMS in them with annuals planted! He could even hve Beau Young play! Lol just a thought!
I have always loved Elcamino's...
