Born and raised on a farm, south of Kaplan,I know where you coming from! The idiot,"Cash",obvious ly don't know the first thing about farming...your Daughter will succeed in life....wish more people were raised like you and I...oh by the way,"Cash",some of these farmers work very hard...they do deserve nice trucks!and they do have to pay back those "Farm loans"!
I didn't want to put to much in one thread, so you could understand most of it. But after you read the other one, you might of understood that I know a thing or two about farming operations.

First: What other profession or job, would actually pay you to set aside some land and not farm it?

Second: What about all the deficiency payments that farmers used to capitalize one?

I will let you chew on that for awhile, then give you more.

Yes we do need farmers, but they are being treated very good for what they do.

Cash, really it's none of my business, but I consider raising chickens as a type of farming, as in the olden days they farmed chickens too!
It's not an easy task and the hours, the price of feed, the price of hay, well it all adds up!i started out small & am growing larger. If one day I have a hatchery I would have to have workers and so forth! Why can you tell me if I worked my azzz off for many years shouldn't I myself, not my husband, my self after all it's business and my grandchildren deserve to drive a brand new diesel truck? Every Farmer I've ever met Are HARD WORKERS! I've got uncles that busted their butts when young and they drive very nice trucks, so fricken what!
Oh by the way I sold all my eggs today & got paid cash! And what? Lol

<quoted text>No, I don't know anything about farming, yet everything I have posted has hit right where I wanted it to hit. If it wasn't true, none of you would of answered back.
I love the way that you stated "some of these farmers work very hard". You are actually agreeing with me, that some don't, yet you are faulting me for saying it but it is ok for you to admit it. Also as they do have to pay back, is also not always true. At the end of the year, some usually just refinance the loan, because some can't pay if all off.
No matter what someone like you thinks,a farmer has a hard'll never understand....and yes some do work harder than others...just speaking for my takes a "real" man to be a "Farmer"....
