Never said I was An Angel, lol, the good Lord knows me, & yes very well? I'm a sinner,my past has skeletons, you have no clue! Lol
I've sinned, and I do commit sins, I'm human!
But, I don't come here hiding! Saying I am going to heaven preaching following the bible, saying my fellow friends here who don't read the bible are not going to heaven if they don't follow right this minute! No one can tell another if they going to heaven or not!

What you & people like you don't understand, I'm not ashamed of my past, so get that through your head! I reflect on my past, and know that life is very Precious, & everything happens for a reason!
It's called Growth & Wisdom dearest friend that knows my secrets! Remember, I'm not a Pastor, Politician, I'm not in the Public eye, I'm only a woman who has learned that what you may think of me, doesn't matter one bit... I know what's in my Heart.
You know my secrets? Lordy, another one who wants to be my SECRET KEEPER!
My secret keeper friends list is already filled... Sorry!!! ;)

I just would like you to understand, Donnell, that God and I both know a few of your secrets and we both wonder why you are not ashamed.
Growth and Wisdom?
Everything happens for a reason?
Do you really believe you are not in the public eye?
Sorry darlin', but your whole community sees you for what you are no matter what is posted on Topix. And ya know what? They don't care what you think of them either.

And just let me remind you that God

I know Steve well enough to say that he's good people. I've never heard him preach in church, but I've had many informal conversations with him and there's no doubt that he's sincere about whatever the topic may be, especially those that involve spirituality and/or God.

Steve is a great guy. Went to school with him. A perfect example of how people who made the wrong turn early in life can change and make a big difference in the lives of others.
If Steve has genuinely turned away from his evil past, then I applaud him. But it is so puzzling to me, why those former dirty rotten scondrels never end up in the Catholic church. They were always welcome in the Catholic church. The difference, is that the Catholic church doesn't drag you by the shirt collar into their church.
Then they celebrate the fact that they used to be a bad person, as if a past life of bad living is supposed to give them that much more credibility when they get behind the pulpit.
To all those former rotten scondrels, take note of this fact about the publics opinion. If you lived like the devil for 15 years, and you have been living right for two years, in our opinion, you have not displayed enough good living for any of us to believe you have really changed. 15 percent of the population will always label you by your past, and thats just the way it is. don't fight it, just accept it as part of the penalty of bad living. God will forgive you, but some of the people will always be suspicious of you.
One last note to Steve. Words are very easy to say. Rarely is a man judged by his words. He will be mostly judged by his actions. So for you to stand there and shout to the world that you are now a great man, seems self serving. That really doesn't impress anyone. What will impress me, and the rest of the world is when we see you still living right five years from now.

Godspeed to you Steve.

Evidently you're aware of something about him that I'm not, but regardless, I judge others on how they treat and/or interact with me. I'm not saying that there isn't validity to the points you make, b/c they're very good ones. I especially agree with what you say about people who were once part of the Catholic faith often smearing the Church after they find religion in another denomination. I've always had a problem with that, especially b/c it reeks of judgment toward the Church. In fact, I've rarely experienced the other, meaning a Catholic that smears other denominations. Personally, that speaks volumes.

Coming from someone like you?! Hahahaha who are you to give him a timeline of when he will be considered "good". You are surely not one in any position to judge, nor to set the bar for that matter. How the town of Abbeville tolerates you, sticking your nose in everything, I will never understand. I know what goes on behind the doors of your home, and I'm surely not Mrs C. I'd be careful before trying to pass judgement on others when you are clearly in no position to even offer your 2 cents.

It is never to later to decide to live right. Its a sign of wisdom. I don't direct this at Steve personally, but Myself have met too many of these about face new christians. I myself think of my transformation toward being a good man. Even thought I have progressed quite well, I still could never have had the nerve to go from "no good" to preacher in such a short time as I have seen others do.

Thank you,, some hide behing their bible! I once knew a man who would preach all day, give guidance counseling to some and then get in his truck and go by meds off the street... True story, he even went as far to tell a man that was there for marriage counseling, pain pills are the works of an evil kind, just give them to me and I'll dispose of them! Kmsl,,, now go figure that one!
How could one do this? And then go back and preach! No wonder he was always so full of energy! Lol

Happy Spring Equinox, Donnell,
It sure is a lovely day up here, I wish you could experience the scent of a billion daffodils wafting from a glacier carved valley. It's purely exquisite. Wish you could be here.

There are a few people in my life who sure like to hide behind the bible and I was wondering what you think. If someone believes that God will forgive them every Sunday during confession, are they truly forgiven if they use confession for an excuse to sin?

Let's say they lie, constantly, they bear false witness against persons who are non-deserving, but they continue to lie because they are forgiven every Sunday during confession.

Is this person not hiding behind the bible?
In your opinion. What do you think?
