They are all going to the same place because they are taking a woman home that lives there. She works at the station. Also those "kids" are in police academy now and are the only two decent cops on the force!

Yes, the lady that lives in the parish WORKS for the police department and does not currently have transportation. And the officers (as you call them,"kids") are OFFICERS for a REASON. You do not just apply for an officer position and get it, you have to attend the police academy.

how wrong you are you can appy for the job and get it. you do have to go to the police academy but rayville does not send everybody or they dont past the course and still work there that is fact. one of them has been working part time for over 10 years and has never been.

Minimum Training Requirements
All full-time peace officers, as defined in R.S.40:2402, shall complete a basic training course as prescribed and certified by the Council on Peace Officers Standards. Reserve or part-time officers or military police officers stationed in Louisiana may be eligible for certification if they successfully complete a basic training course prescribed for full-time peace officers and pass the POST statewide examination.
Find somethng else to fuss about, these officer's are doing good. As far as the ride home, thats Willie's call - let him make it.

SHAME SHAME The police you are down grading are working for half of what they deserve. They risk there lives while you are sleeping in a warm bed.Let willie and the sheriff be the boss, they have done a great job so far.

When your paying 7.50 and hour your not gonna get the cream of the crop...they hire who they can get, better wages at mcdonalds, and to be honest most of them at RPD probly don't deserve much more than 7.50...it's kind of a joke up there let's be honest...only thing is we simply can't vote ourselves into a better RPD like we did the Parrish...can't understand why RPD obviously overlooks major drug trafficking in town, while they get thier rocks off catching some 16 yr old white kid with a bag of pot...have a feeling that the new sherrif will actively hunt drug dealers within rayville city limits...Willie, tell your kin folks to look out! The old deal with the SO is off!

What's with you all? The Sheriff race is over so now you're bashing the city police?? If you've got that much time on your hands, why don't you patrol the roads and pick up litter? Look for potholes and call the mayor and police jury. Offer to help feed and clean the cages at the humane society. Do something positive with your time. A black policeman died protecting a white, prominent citizen. Have you forgotten that? Why does everything have to center on race and politics? Your family is safe and you may just owe it to those you slam. You all ought to really be ashamed of yourselves. Thank God we live in a country that allows our law enforcement to carry weapons and the authority to arrest criminals regardless of their community status!

Judy, you are exactly right. If someone doesn't have one thing to b%t@h about, he or she will find something or somebody else to moan and groan about. Men & women of the police and sheriff's departments put their lives on the LINE each time they respond to any call big or small.

Who would have guessed a guy would have a shot and killed a Rayville policeman one night while responding to an alarm call right on the outskirts of town. Alarms go off every night, police respond to them every night, they DONT get an option of responding to calls. These individuals don't have to go into this profession. They CHOOSE to. If an alarm went off at RAZRBKS house, the police would go to his house, no questions asked, and RAZRBK would probably remain unappreciative and would still take the police for granted.

People don't miss something until they don't have it. I bet if one of these individuals that are bashing the police departments mother or father or child were to (heaven forbid) come up missing or dead I bet the first place they would call would be the POLICE. HMMMM.....

You are correct! However, until someone furnishes proof our tax dollars are being misused or abused, we cannot (or should not) chastise the ones who are here to protect us.

If the people putting down the city police would bother to check, they would find the police who haven't gone to academy don't carry guns. They serve as dispatchers, collect fines and do other menial tasks that aren't important to us, but part of a ticking clock. Paperman needs to call the Chief and get his story right.

All I'm gonna say is this
When the law wont obey they law, there is no law...and from then on it's just every man for himself

Rayville cops don't arrest drug dealers, they would rather give parking tickets...all I'm asking is why can't they go after big drug dealers? Why do they turn a blind eye to the obvious? The two boys working up there have good intentions, but Willie has them on too short of a leash to do anything...the joke ain't RPD...it's what Willie has made it...I'm not bashing them because the sherrif race is over, I've been doing it for years...but I have been told that our new sherrif believes that crimes are also crimes inside the Parrish and that he's not scared to step on willies toes about arresting someone

Let him step on toes and arrest people. Big whoop. He has no background in management, business, running a business or department before. All he knows is law enforcement and the sheriffs department is much more than law enforcement. He plans to "clean house", yeah right. Please tell me where he can pull 160 officers (correctional, patrol, dispatch, & others) out of his back pocket? Yeah, OK. You made your bed Razrbkr, but im afraid you won't see the "change" you wanted. About like the "change" the American people voted into presidential office 4 years ago. YEAH LETS GO FOR SOME CHANGE.
