Yeah, but to hear Consol, if they get the 16 million Buffalo Mountain permit, the King Coal Highway will be built overnight. This highway is probably over 75 years away, and the people have been duped from the start, so a few people could line their pockets on the school contracts. An upgrade would have been more feasible, by straightening out Buffalo and Horsepen Mountains. At least we would have had something to drive on to get to Bluefield, before our beard gets down to our knees.

I'd be happy for now, if they would pave a stretch of anything in Southern WV.

The last couple of summers at least in this area, has basically been, cut a square out of the road every ten yards or so, fill it up with asphalt and keep on trucking.
We're getting to the point, there is more "patching" holes, than having regular pavement to drive on.

I guess if you believe inTNA wrestling, it's reasonable that you'd also still think Bush should be blamed for everything.

Well then Butthead, what happened to the funding 10 or 12 years ago?? The funding was there and then we decide to invade Iraq, a place a we should have never been in the 1st place... When we went to war with Iraq lots of key road funding was taken to supply and fund the war...
I see nothing wrong with being a wrestling fan there are 100s 1000s millions of them around the world... I'm a fan of many things NFL(Cowboys) MLB(Atlanta Braves) NBA(Chicago Bulls), NHL (Carolina Hurricanes) WNBA although don't have one particular favorite team, UFC, NASCAR.... I even watch and read the news...

Let me remind you what the great Senator Robert Byrd said..
""Blind and improvident," Mr. President. "Blind and improvident." Congress would be wise to heed those words today, for as sure as the sun rises in the east, we are embarking on a course of action with regard to Iraq that, in its haste, is both blind and improvident. We are rushing into war without fully discussing why, without thoroughly considering the consequences, or without making any attempt to explore what steps we might take to avert conflict."

Someone has been drinking too much kool aid. The funding has never been in place to build either highway in entirety. The money comes in dribbles from highway bills. The highway money was not diverted to the war. We're broke, and the wars are one part of the reason. If the war robbed the highway money, where did the money come from that was wasted on the recent highway project at Sandstone?

Congress which was controlled by the dems at the time approved the war.

Lets face it if the money allotted and the money made from the turnpike wasnt squandered we would not have any problem roads in our area. Seems like money always finds a home somewhere else. If it was used for our children or the elderly who built this great state I could understand. A lot of the money finds its way for ignorant things. Lets go into something else a tax on coal and forest products no one can touch only to be spent on the communities from which it came . Oh and honest politicians who say when elected this is what i am for and don't change their minds when other more powerful politicians give influence to look over these funds.

September 3, 2010 · The King Coal Highway and the Coalfield Expressway are two incomplete projects that are expected to make the coalfields more accessible.

The remaining construction in West Virginia is expected to cost $1 billion

10 million is a pretty small percentage of 1 billion. dumbass

You dumbass liberals cant get your facts straight. First you scream for 12 years that Bush started wars that weren't paid for, now you claim he took your road money to build roads. None of these roads are built because your penny-ante democrat politicians take the road money and spread it around the state on various projects to buy votes and never finishe any roads.

But enjoy your kool aid, you are too damn dumb to try to explain anything else to. 10,000,000 would be 0.001 percent of the project cost.

Think you 2 need to read a newspaper or watch some news something beside Fox News.... Might do you some good to get informed instead, of crying and name-calling when people want to voice their opinion....
