Used to live in Lumberport long ago and visited over the Summer and holidays. What is up with all the scum bags and their filthy houses? There are houses burnt that need condemned, people putting in new shitty ass trailers on an existing lot with a dwelling? Has the town just quit caring? One shitty house had piles of garbage stacked outside to go along with their 3 ft high grass???

Granted, not every house was trashy and inhabited by government teet suckers. I was just saddened to see the honest hard working people overshadowed by the handful or scum.

You would think the city officials would do something?

The dump houses I know of on Jack Run were reported several years ago, a lady from the court house came and checked them out and made a report and told me the one was one of the worst she had ever seen, there are large sink holes on this property,I now have been told someone has bought this property for taxes.I'm waiting to see how long it takes for this person to clean all the junk and trash up. There are RATS on this property.

I was told yesterday that inside of the Town of Lumberport trailers are not allowed to be placed. However I could be wrong, it makes sense though, being that it is a condensed area. It would be hard to even build a house. The reason why I am commenting on your post is that I do not like your choice of words."people putting in new shitty ass trailers on an existing lot with a dwelling" Sir, how can a trailer be new and shitty at the same time? Matter of fact I own about three acres outside of Lumberport and will be putting in a decent trailer on my property. It is older, but still very well maintained and nice. It will be a very comfortable home from my small family. My husband and I are hard working people, who DO NOT RECEIVE WELFARE...probably why we live on a tight budget. So this trailer that I purchased for a reasonable amount, is nothing short of a blessing. In the past I have paid big money to live in nice apartments in cities like Pittsburgh and Dallas; NOT WORTH IT! So because some families chose to reside in trailers, doesn't make them scum. It maybe all they can afford, while still working very hard to have it. Not to mention I have been blessed with a small amount of land..more than most people have. Now some may say, why not build or buy a home; it's not so easy when burdened with debt from hospital bills. Besides, when people like you who look down upon all the people who live in trailers eek buy to pay mortgages...I will think, hmm it's so nice to have all of my property bought and paid for. So not all of us in the Lumberport area that reside in trailers are scum, druggies, or poor (which is nothing to make fun of). So maybe you should be a little bit nicer..because you never know who's going to read/hear7357 your words.

Sounds like the Lumberportions need to have a community clean-up day.

Clean up day! Not really gonna do any good in alot of cases. Empty houses, trash and whatever the people didn't want all left behind to set and rot for years drawing in bugs and rats.

We don't need a clean up day to haul off trash. We need a clean up day to haul off all of the trashy people.

When is the city going to clean up the streets? Between the condemned houses, drug houses, and pill poppin junkies that walk them all hours of the nite, that place is going to the $hitter!!

Where is the new mayor? Did he run for office just because he though it would be cool? Is he actually going to do something?

My Grnadparents lived on Jack run for years. Their house was beautiful. The new owners have turned it in to a dump. I have to drive past it everyday. It is so very sad.

I drive over Jack Run often and most of the people take very good care of their property and homes. There are areas with many more run down properties than Jack Run. I think that Jack Run would be a nice area to live in.

Could you tell me who the mayor is now? I have asked a few people but they don't seem to know, but they don't live in the town either.I moved away several years ago.
