Gerald John's attitude is not helping the reputation of DJ's Diner. A little humility would go a long way.

I wasn't actually trying to discredit you...but if you are going to make a comment at least have your facts right...I did state that if something does not taste right we do take care of the customers...maybe you had a bad waitress...I did not work there then...but I do take care of my cutomers..local or out of town

You're saying that my facts are incorrect but you are not discrediting me? Hmm! I assure you that I complained about my meal and no exchange was offered. I was told that there was nothing wrong with my meal without anyone even checking it and no adjustment on the check was offered either. It wasn't the bad meal that turned me off, it was the attitude of the waitress and manager, and obviously your attitude is the same because you are right and everyone complaining is wrong.

maybe people should not be rude ....i think it is really sad some people have nothing better to do with their time...ive been to many restaurants and none are perfect.....i have been in many popular named places and have seen cobwebs in corners....and dust on wooden blinds ..and have had terrible service and/or food.....

When I went awhile back the food was decent and the prices were ok. Like others said the seats at the booths were cracked and the shades were bent but i'll take that for the bad.
If they had staff that cared they could probably help themselves there.
if the seats were cracked..doesnt that mean that they have been sat in alot?? Or children stand on them and a bent blind does not make for a bad place....

I happen to be a customer of DJ's Diner, and I go in there 3 to 4 times a week and I can't believe that any of you are complaining. I have been in there when the place was packed with customers, I did wait on my food but it wasn't that long and my waitress was at my table refilling my coffee and checking once I had my food, It is a locally owned business by people that live here. I would rather eat there and help hometown people rather than a chain restaurant and so should any of you.

I agree that the locals should spend their money at locally owned businesses first but the local business has to earn their patronage with quality products, great service and fair prices. Locally owned and managed restaurants have an opportunity to compete with the chains by providing freshly prepared menu items and expert personal service. When the owner manages his establishment he oversees what his staff does and has control over the quality and service, if he truly cares about the success of his business.

Muriales is a good example of a successfully operated locally owned restaurant. The owner is almost always present, the service is the best in the area and the food quality is consistently good. As a result, the parking lot is always full with satisfied customers.

That place is nasty ! The waitresss's fuck the managers for favors. And dj favors employees based on their looks rather than there skills and consistency. He doesn't make the girls wash their hands before they serve the food. He can't even take the time out of his day to make the schedule he makes his wife who has nothing to do with the restaurant do it. Maybe if he had a real manager who didn't let his girls stand around on there phones and gossip instead of tending to customers then his business would actually make money.

NONE of US girls sleep with managers or any of the fellow employees 1st of all... 2nd we all DO wash our hands whether it be in the kitchen or the restroom & we sanitize our hands. How a CUSTOMER would know who does the schedule is beyond me. But FYI DJ does the schedule! Get your facts straight. Just because we all look good dont hate! As for work ethic, a lot of girls have this as their 1st job. DJ likes to give young girls a chance to earn work experience to better them in their futures.

He best not step on any toes with his stable, if'n you knows what I mean. As long as his girls stay on the east side there won't be no problems.
