My 16 year old daughter bought a Honda head cylinder from these crooks. We got the head in and our mechanic put it one the car and it was a bad head that they did not even take the time to machine before sending out...They were rude and ugly on the phone to us.we had to have the head machined ourselves and pay for labor 2 times to have it put back on the car...my mechanic gave my daughter a little break on the labor. He was shocked that that J&C Enterprises would just send a head that was not machined or checked out first.

I purchase heads there for many customers of mine. I have never had an issue with them. Who did she deal with and when did she buy it? Maybe I need to check their work a little better. Thanks for any info.

I've used J&C cylinder heads several times with outstanding results. I have always felt their workmanship was top notch, so much so that I would have to see the defect to believe it. Don't be surprised if your mechanic didn't play some role in the scenario. I know of a shop on RT310 that installed a head without adjusting the valves because he felt they should have been adjusted by the manufacturer, turning it into instant garbage. It happens but J&C Enterprises, I'd buy without hesitation.

Sent me 1997 Saturn Cylinder Head and installed per factory specs. Camshaft dowel for cam sprocket broke on both cams. Blames me saying cam bolt was put on loose. Was put on with 75ft lbs torque. My friend who is a 20 year veteran mechanic said cam was bad and nothing I did caused the problem. Out $290.00. What is the point of a warranty if they blame any failures on installer. Sad. Have yours rebuilt at a local machine shop. i tried to save money and now costing me way more.

Junk Junk Junk, Ordered a set of SBC 2.02-1.60 64cc heads, have had them stored for quit some time, building a 1923 T, heads looked ok, but found they are 416 305 HO heads with 58 cc, 550 lift springs after starting engine it didnt sound right, wiped the cam out, after much investigating found that the rockers were binding up, WHY.....because the valve spring were bottoming out at .370 intake side .440 exhaust side. looks like retainers may be hitting guides. Now I have to tear it down and repair what their junk e-bay heads messed up. Left messages but no return calls, I am getting hold of e-bay for my purchase history, ordered heads 2/23/09 didnt receive receipt when heads were received, now I know why. I have every receipt for every part I ordered on this car. Spoke to my Lawyer and he is to contact them, He says it has been a long time, but they should have information when they sold them, no call back so I will put comments on everything I can find, bad business.

I just dont understand why you would tell someone they have .550 lift springs, why dont they just tell you they have .550 lift springs but you cant run a cam with even .500 lift or .450 lift. This just blows my mind, I dont care how many heads they have sold, this is dirty business. Think I will order something else from them off e-bay just so I can leave a bad review.

Chuck I hate to point out flaws on what you're saying but for starters who in their right mind orders a package and doesn't check to make sure shipment was correct? You waited 5 years to realize they are wrong? If package was opened when it arrived probably could have been taken care of. I think if anything you have ran the heads longer than what you are stating and the wear and tear on such things as springs would make them read different. As you stated intake and exhaust are reading two different things. And as for the retainers hitting the guides sounds like they would have destroyed seals to do so. So it wouldn't look like its hitting the guides it would definitely show. Considering such flaws in your story sounds like maybe it was an error on your end. You use proper rockers? Proper pushrods? Or are you lying threw your teeth and have ran the shit out of the vehicle and are now showing ordinary wear? Like I said if it was me I would have checked packages on arrival or if you did and didn't know 416 is a 58cc head then you are at fault. Oh btw try ordering a TV but once you receive it don't open it wait until 2019 and try returning it because you ordered a 50in and they sent you a 46in feel free to let me know how that works.

LOL, Sounds like normal reply to all issues J & C has had, its the installers issue, yes I have had the heads for a long time, this was a long build, ordered over $8,000.00 of parts from ebay and had no issues with anything but these heads. They were misrepresented !!!!!!!! Yes I should have checked them out, they should have been sent to a machine shop. Now that the heads are torn apart, yes the seals are destroyed, They are headed to machine shop tomorrow and all issues will be posted. What it all comes down to........ Ran 1.5 roller rockers, new pushrods, They engine may have been run a total of an hour, I have no reason to lie, and sounds to me like you have no idea what YOU are talking about. Normal wear???? If you work for J & C my questions have been answered. J & C does shotty work, and no matter what these heads would have never lasted on any engine.

IF YOU BUY HEADS FROM J & C SEND THEM TO MACHINE SHOP AND HAVE THEM CHECKED!!!!

Ed, read over what commented, think about it. Ever heard cylinder heads for dummies, you apparently have no idea what your talking about.
