Oasis is the shadiest operation ever. Some of the posts above are exactly what we experienced. I've never heard the words and phrases "possibly", "we don't know" or "we can't guarantee anything" so much in my life.
Numerous items broken, damaged, 10-12 pictures thrown into a box with 2-3 having bubble wrap, extra charges, etc.
What a comedy of errors, it goes on and on!!!!!
When our goods were picked up, my girlfriend was treated inappropriately and pressured for a tip because "they don't make very much money."
I've never felt as violated, it's basically like being robbed.

Listen all of you "victims" First, call the Attorney General's office in your state. They will send you a form for Consumer Fraud. File it, now!!
Then e-mail me uniqlook@live.com

If we all get together, I have an attorney for a class action suit.

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM OASIS MOVING Co.

My wife and I just relocated to NYC from Las Vegas,NV on Oct 26. On Oct 23rd we were informed the truck was on the way to NYC. However, the remaining balance we were quoted on moving day from the foreman did not match the increased remaining balance quoted on the phone. I explained what the foreman had discussed with me and all of a sudden our balanced increaed by over $200. Needless to say the representative did not want to listen nor show any level of courtesy or professionalism. And they had all of our possessions, so we had to pay the "mysterious" $200 increase. Our possessions arrived today more than 5 days late and our previous calls regarding the delay went unanswered. But wait it gets better.
Our possessions which were all boxed and properly secured arrived "open" "numerous boxes badly damaged" and the carrier was a subcontractor with no idea how our belongings arrived in their present condition considering another subcontractor from california delivered it to new york city and said nothing about our "broken and badly taped boxes". Our calls to Oasis continue to go unanswered and our advice to all is very simple:
STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM OASIS". They are quick
to take your money, and fast to screw you without even a kiss. By the way, subcontractor carrier this morning had us wait for 3 hours. No apology offered, that is OASIS legendary service.

Oasis Moving and Storage - IT IS A SCAM DO NOT USE THEM!
Oasis blatently overcharged me, the customer service staff sent me these harrassing emails saying I had to cough up the extra money or they wouldn't deliver. Monica Lopez was the supposed supervisor that wouldn't let me speak to anyone else.
On top of that, Oasis claimed they wholly owned and operated all of the trucks and drivers, but that is a flat out lie. I signed a contract with Oasis, but the guys that showed up had a company name of AAZ on their documents. When I asked about it, the guy kept saying "Yes, we are Oasis, Yes, we are Oasis" in broken english.
When I brought my complaint to the Department of Transportation, Oasis claimed they didn't do my move.
Please trust what you read here from a fellow consumer - do not use Oasis Moving and Storage. They will rip you off.

I will be insisting that the Federal Motor Carrier Regulation conduct an investigation on this company. They owe us a lot of money and have been a scam from the beggining. If anyone on this blog is willing to help me fight them, please send me your contact info. I need to aquire as much information as I can. you do not need to be in the legal proceedsing with me but i would just like to document your story. From the looks of the blogs all over the internet this company needs to be shut down. I have been living on a hardwood floor for 4 weeks now and in order to get my things they made me pay for my initial bill even though the actual owner of the company approved a reimbursement deal. Now when I call, they refuse to forward me to the correct contact in order to get my money back. I can not express how horrible my expreience was with this company, but I will say that I am taking legal action and hope that no one else has to suffer the way we have.
Please respond back to this if you are intersted in helping me.

20 year old single mother wrote:
I'm a 20 year old single mother of a 13 month old baby. After my ex started getting abusive I decided to move out of our house in Provo, UT and move back to Chandler, AZ to be with family. Finding Oasis seemed like a sign from God to finally get out of dodge, unfortunately that was not the case. I was quoted $790 to bring my bedroom set, couch, crib, changing table and bookcase. I had also packed 10 medium boxes and 3 boxes for book and 2 small books of toys. Although I gave my original estimate of a stroller and rocking chair I declined taking them after the offer was already set. The quote stated that everything should be under 2000 lbs pounds which I believed to be a lot of leeway since I was taking so little. Imagine my shock when the packers came to get my stuff and told me that to be on the safe side they would put a possible quote of $200 more (for tape, gas, etc) but that most likely I wouldn't need it. While having me sign the paperwork I asked a lot of questions since I had no idea what most of the stuff meant. They guy (who was russian and didn't speak very good english) explained that everything was to insure my furniture and that I wouldn't have to pay anymore then that and that my things should arrive within 8 days at the very latest. While moving my things not only did they put holes in the walls of my ceiling but they also left rolls of tape and debris everywhere. After they left I also realized that they had taken a $900 dollar emergency credit card to buy diapers and food for my daughter from my parents. Four days after I had left UT and was safely in AZ I realized that someone had my credit card and was using it. Immediately I canceled it but the probability of me getting any of that money back is 0. I also got a call from some indian sounding woman who I also couldn't understand who told me that upon delivery I owed $887 dollars on top of the $390 I already paid because I went 400lbs over 2000. Bullshit. I have no money in which to pay them since I am a college student on scholarship and don't have a job. I plan to take this company to court and try to get damages repaired, money reimbursed that was spent on my card, and them to give me back my things. I cannot believe that a company could be this sneaky to people that are looking for someone to help them. It disgusts me and I hope they get shut down. I also plan to contact the BBB and report the scam that they are doing. Anyone who wants to contact me and give me their story or join in the court proceedings please contact me at mytightywhites@yahoo.com.
Please email me!! I'm getting a class action suit against them.

I just received my things this past saturday, and I have to totally agree with all of your posts. Oasis was the worst experience of my life. This has been my third cross country move and I've never had this many problems before. Every thing that you all have complained about (i.e. movers being late, delivery taking weeks/months, things arriving broken, misleading quotes, customer service reps ignoring your calls, boxes being damaged or bent, etc.) have all happened to me during this move. I only wish I had thought about google-searching prior to trusting this company. Had I seen this board I would've avoided them.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING A MOVE PLEASE AVOID OASIS MOVING AND STORAGE!!! This company is awful.
I will file a complaint with AMSA and I hope you all will do the same.
Please email me!! I'm getting a class action suit against them.

Unfortunately the unhappy customers speak way louder then the happy ones. We move do over 2200 interstate moves alone each year with many happy customers At best we get a thank you email from them I wish they would all post some of their great feed backs on here. But some people have better things to do in life. Sometimes companies should be protected from some customers too. Being so abusive to the guys or just asking for half of their move off cause we were late to arrive in half hour. Some of us worked for other companies, I have been working for Oasis for few years now and they were nothing but good for me and the customers. I do not say that 100% of all moves go smooth but hey have you try and look up other moving companies? Oasis have a full time customer service representative and a claim department. We at least take responsibility if anything goes wrong. You guys should be doing something else with your time.
I just had to repost this from the first page...
Ben from Oasis, you have to admit, this is a lot of unhappy customers...

10 complains for the past 4 years with over 2,000 interstate moves per year (!!!) are a great reccord Mr.unhappy customer.
I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say you actually get slightly more than 10 complaints every 4 years.

What happened to all the replies from Oasis people? I haven't seen anything in a while. Did they give up? I don't blame them.

Anyway, get on this Class Action Lawsuit! If not for yourself then at least to help stop Oasis from hurting more people! Otherwise this Topix thread will just keep growing and growing with more pissed off people. Email uniqlook@live.com with your full name, your move, email, phone and brief description of your experience with Oasis.

STAY AWAY from OASIS MOVING & STORAGE. They lie, they underquote and overcharge, they mislead you and once they get your money, they don't care about taking care of you.
1) They neglected to tell me many things up front
2) Used a box of tape on very few items and charged me $250 for it!
3) Readjusted their estimate 3 times after they had picked up my belongings.
4) Wanted $500 more or they wouldn't unload my stuff - claimed they had to carry my stuff almost 500 feet. When I measured it, I got a little over 150 feet. Plus, they charged me $75 more for an additional flight of stairs because my staircase that leads to my door has a mid-landing. C'mon its only 15 steps total!
5) Forced me to sign their documents so I can't dispute their unlawful charges.
6) Asked me if I can fit a 52 foot truck at my delivery address, in which I said no. They decided to bring one anyway and charged me for the inconvenience.
7) Took almost a month to get from California to Colorado. It's hard to live a month without even a light fixture or a chair. But maybe I was expecting too much.
8) Disassembled my furniture which was nice but never reassembled like they said they would.
9) Didn't place things where we wanted. The delivery guys were "tired" and they just dumped everything in my living room.
10) Broke my desk, cd shelf and a few other items.
I could go on and on... My sales rep mysterious disappeared after I booked them. Later I spoke with a supervisor, Andrea Orellana who was nice when she was collecting my money and making me sign and fax document after document. But when I tried to talk to her about this last $500 they decided to come up with at the end, it was basically, if you don't sign then we're keeping your stuff. Total blackmail. So I had to sign what they wanted which sucks because now I have no leg to stand on as its a legal binding document.
If you want a nightmare and enjoy being conned, lied to or taken advantage of, call Oasis. But don't be suprised when they quote you less than half of what they end up charging you. My advice, Stay Away!
I also had problem with this company. I had a brand new Queen size Mattress and one of thing I ask of them is to protest my mattress. When they deliver my Mattress the first thing I notice is my NEW Mattress had a hole in it. The mover told me they don't know how that happen? When I when to make the bed I notice another large hole in it. So I put in a claim for three of my pieces of my furnture and there claim people only gave me $60.00 for my Mattress. When I paid $1300 plus for my bed..SO PLEASE BEWARE OF USING THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Do not hire them. When I decided to hire Oasis, the original quote was 2300.00. I kept in touch as I need to add household materials. Missy Cordell had the panio packing on the quote. I call to see if I had to add the 200 or was it included. She assured it was included. I even called on moving date with an update. Missy Cordell gave me the additional amount, and when the movers arrived, I gave them half on the total amount, and 60.00 for extra. I packed my belongings, but I was told I had to paid for the piano packing, and the large TVS and my mattress. I don't know many 55 year-old women who can pick up, much less pack mattress. I ended up give another check for 241.00. The movers were extremely rude. Ms. Cordell told me it would only be 12 days max to receive my furniture. Then I get a call saying I still owed 101.00 dollars, and that my furniture would arrive in 16 days. When I received my furniture, a book case was broken so bad, I can't use it. Another bookcase had the edging stripped, the dog house roof was broken, and they did not deliver a box that contains my toaster, other kitchen items and two pairs of shoes. So now, I am out even more money. I am filing with the BBB and fraud with Nevada State Attorney, and Transportation Board.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Sagittarius

Mercury turning retrograde in your house of finances carries a rather unseasonal message, because it's telling you to pay attention to your finances over the next few weeks. If you already know that you've overspent this month, you won't need to be told that a few economies are just around the corner. Get the facts straight and pay attention to the small print. You may also have to make some adjustments to an intimate relationship so it can move into another phase.
