Very sad, that town needs to get it's act together. Their our county seat and they reflect all of us. The County and State should sanction them.

Do you own the building? No. Why do you think it is any of your business to tell someone what they can or cannot do with their own property?

When someone purchases a home they are first made fully aware that the home is of Historic significance. Then they have the right to choose whether or not they want the responsibility. Which narrows down to do they want to maintain it as historic. If it is marked as landmark they have no choice. The changes to that home then become EVERYONES business simply because the historic value is NATIONAL not just local!!!

Maybe in Obama's communist socialist America, where everyones rights are reduced to the will of the government .

But lady you are absolutely incorrect . I buy my home ,I pay my mortgage and I get to do whatever the hell I want with it , That's the law and that's the final word lady. If I want to paint it pink purple or periwinkle, NO ONE can prevent me. If I want to paint butterflies ,my property my choise. You might not like it, are you might not like me for doing that ,but you just going to have to learn to live with it

Bruce, you are absolutely incorrect, you do not 'get to do whatever you want with it' there are plenty of land use laws that dictate what you can and can't do to, on, or with your property. Historic Preservation laws are just one type.
