I am pleased to hear that council made the right decision. It is a known fact that in a time of recession or when the economy is down there is always an increase in crime. To layoff an officer in a small town that has a lot of transient traffic would not benefit anyone who s a resident of Englishtown let alone any other adjoining towns as well. Englishtown needs the officers it has at this time and even when the economy does well. It insures the safety of its residents and
there presence instills confidence to the community they serve.
