I still do not know what happened at Pointe De Jardin last night (6/1). I got home from work around 7:30 and saw a large police presence by the basin. A lot of rumors, but no facts. None of the news agencies had anything even though News 12 was there filming. If anyone has some info please update.

I heard that a teenager was found unconsious from the woods near the basin area. No idea on the sex of the teen ... hoping it's not a rape case.Too scared but yes, it's a definitive that the news is being kept under wraps.

I was told that lightning striked a kid and he died. I do not know if there is any truth to what I was told. So please don't spread rumors, I am just relaying what I was told. I too saw the News 12 van, but don't see anything on line. On June 2 late at night, when driving by, I saw candles lit on the woods side of the basin. I hope what I was told was not correct. I can only imagine the grief the parents must be feeling. Does anyone have an confirmed information?

He hung himself after a bad break up or fight with his girlfriend. His dad told him to leave the house and he went to the woods and killed himself.

If what you say is right "resident" than the dude is a total idiot. No "poontang" is worth killing yourself over.

Whatever the facts behind it may be, a CHILD has DIED. Please have some respect for the family and friends and refrain from name calling. What is done cannot be undone.

His name was Mikhail, and he was a great guy. His ex-girlfriend told him to kill himself. Mike was a genius, and every person has a breaking point. Calling him an idiot is childish and extremely disrespectful to his poor family and friends. Think before you speak.

His ex girlfriend told him to kill himself -- and he did?

So, you all gonna kill yourself when some stuck-up slit tells you to?

I'm angry because nobody was there to help him. He hurt tons of people and deprived this world of himself all because of some nasty wh*re.

Everybody has at least made one bad choice in the heat of an emotionally traumatizing moment that they have regretted later. The difference is that he made a choice that cannot be reversed. He may have realized at the last moment that he made a mistake, but it was too late; we will never know. For the record, I am the parent of a friend/classmate; I know that my child is devastated by this incident, and I can only imagine what the parents are going through. I agree that no other person is worth another person's life, but we can only imagine the pain that drove him to this decision. Please, a lot of people are hurting; this was a nice kid. I, too, am angry that no one was there to help him, but we don't know if they could have stopped him. So, yes, bad decision, heartbreaking decision. But please, no name calling. Feel sad for him and his loved ones, this was a tragedy.

Listen guys. You clearly do not know the whole story, so don't disrespect Mike from the minor details that I mentioned. There's a whole backstory to it which I'm not going over on here. So please, stop being assholes and show some respect. Calling him an idiot wont change anything. What's done is done; you can't change anything.

Friend, sorry for your loss. Let this be a lesson to all your kids. Find someone to talk to. theres no reason to bear anything alone. Rejection happens throughout life. Kids can really do great things especially with love and guidance.
Hope it is not true

Hwo was this boy? I have known Mikhail (his family was from Russia)from Pointe de Jardine with his mother and two grandmothers on Windflower Ct,the house facing the Boulevard de Jardine, but his family moved to Manalapan couple years ago. However he often visited his friends in the development. That Mikhail is a very nice, good looking, smart guy. I hope is not true. I hope it is not him. I do not want to believe it.

I also heard a teenage boy hung himself over a girl - at least that's what I was told from someone who lives in the development.
