I'm sorry, not really because the cops in Englewood are getting on my last nerve. It's a small town and they are getting so bored with their day that they are harassing people. Even innocent people. I know many that are tired of this crap. Just last week a friend was protecting a 16 year old girl because she got hit by a older much bigger man and the police in Englewood decides to to press charges on my friend for attempted murder and get the 16 yr old for accossory for murder? And the older man didn't even press charges for attempted murder, not for anything so this is a bunch of bullshit. Oh and the police told the 16 yr old girl she cant press charges. That is so stupid. She has a right to press charges and her boyfriend is allowed to protect her. Hmmmm. Oh and another story, everytime someone wants to press charges, the police has warrents on people right? Well they are not taking anyone to jail now are they? Oh and everytime someone goes to jail they take the victims money. Damn I can go on and on. If there is anyone else out there that agrees with me please comment back.
your an idiot, the only reason you would write something like this is because you must have been arrested by the police dept. or got a grudge. it clearly shows your ignorance and that you have no clue to what you are talking about. You must have been one of those who has always wanted to be the police but don't have the education nor smarts to be one or are you one of those jail house lawyers.

I am afraid that "hunter" is an idiot for replying to a 3 year 2 month old post.

Do you honestly think the original commenter is going to read this?
They have probably forgot about posting it.

OK people let's tell the truth, we hear people say the same thing about police in every town in the US. The truth is everyone wants laws enforced, just not on themselves. As long as police have authority to enforce laws, there will be people who don't like. Good job guys in uniform, if I get a speeding ticket it's my fault for speeding not yours for enforcing laws designed for public safety. Still yet a pointless argument because no matter how much some people dislike it, police will continue to be a part of society....

The problem is that power corrupts, especially in small towns where no-one pays attention.
You have to look out for civil servants abusing their power, and sometimes their local system not playing fairly.

I have been driving for over forty years and my last speeding ticket was in 1976 in South Carolina when the interstate speed limit was 55. Officer Andrew Moier of Englewood, TN. pulled me over about 6:00 AM on 17 August 2011 and said he clocked me going southbound doing 57 in a 40 zone. I could not believe it. He got real defensive about where the 55 starts. I'm thinking did I hit the RESUME button to early? Went back and drove thru a couple of times to check. No way. Thought I might contest this $180 ticket until I read what other folks say. Still debating this. Has anyone contested these tickets and been succesful? This town needs an enema and the hose needs to be placed in the police department.

Yesterday I would agree with you 100%. Today I was ticketed in Englewood, TN.. Believe me, I was not speeding. This town has a problem that needs to be fixed.

No doubt a speed trap! Way too many changes in a short distance and NOTHING around to validate a slow speed. They know what they are doing! Don't get trapped: it's now $180 a ticket. Aren't there other issues to address around there rather than picking on folks trying to work?
