Teens in illegal immigrant death: sentencing for teens in illeg...

Brandon Piekarsky and Derrick Donchak shown attending hearings last year. Two Schuylkill County teenagers acquitted of the most serious charges in the beating death of an illegal Mexican immigrant last summer are due in court today to sentenced for simple assault.

How is this not a hate crime and how do they not get charged with murder? Sounds like the jury is a bunch of racist animals themselves who probably would have jumped in and helped beat the man to death if they were in the area. I hope that Rendell files federal charges, this is disgusting.

I don't approve of illegals, and I know all about it from living in Texas. But the mentality of the area, purely racist, shines through even in the comments from the readers. He was beaten out of hatred for being Mexican, do you really think he was dumb enough to attack four men and draw attention to his illegal status?

Three murders , but they couldn't be prosecuted for any of them. It didn't meet the conditions of any type of murder. It was a fight gone bad and the guy died. They didn't want to kill him, and any fight with a head punch with bare fists could bring the same result. If you have information this was premeditated , bring it up.

Maybe assault and battery, or nothing. Who started the fight ? How did it escalate into punching ?
