They can't help themselves, really. Name calling is part of being a liberal. To have intelligent adult discussions is beyond many of them.

When you insist on taking "intelligent" off the table immediately, there isn't much left.

If you are referring to me, you are sadly mistaken.

And although I have no idea what "hurt" has to do with anyone's position upon free speech, frankly I love Johnny Cash. But as Fred says:

You don't say, now do you Mittens?

I guess you don't have the intelligence to understand the difference between personal insults at a participating member and a public figure now do you?

I'm not the one disingenuously contending that conservatives are too respectable to engage in name calling, and liberals aren't.

That would be.....You.

All American law flows from the Constitution (which, by the way some contend was partially inspired by Gayanashagowa), and is guided by it.

I have the intelligence to understand the difference between what is meant by a "public" and/or a "private individual"/"non-pub lic" figure" as those terms relate to slander and libel litigation. Do you?

I have no idea what you mean by the term "participating member" (sounds kind of sexual), and I've never heard that term used in relation to a slander/libel action.

If you're trying to say that Mr. Mittens, because he is not an elected official, is therefore by definition not a "public figure", and should therefore be protected and exempt from the satirical criticism and humorous attacks of others, I would say that you don't have a clue what you are talking about, and are wrong on both of those issues.
