This monument has no place in the United States.
Nationalist Koreans need to know the whole history,
that over 240,000 Koreans served in the Japanese military above and beyond recruitment quotas. They made use of the Comfort Women System. Some of thes Korean soldiers were tried as Class-B War Criminals by the allies at the Tokyo War Crimes Trials. Why would 240,000 Korean men serve in the miltary if 200,000 of their wives, sisters and daughters were being kidnapped? The vast majority of these victims were sold (a common practice then)
or tricked by Korean midlemen. The Japanese military openly ran want ads in the newspapers.
And Japan paid the South Korean government in 1965 for all pre-1945 issues including compensation to individual victims. But the South Korean government kept this a secret from the people and allocated those funds for infrastructure building.
Soth Koreans need to come to grips with thes facts before playing this silly one sided villiicatyion game. Kamasahamnida.
