That's good....and they do help some people. However, only about 20% of the money given is going to help the poor. It's called front money. I want too see people who need help, get help. Just do your homework before you give.
I did some volunteer work for the Salvation Army last year at their distribution warehouse.
Donors should know that the primary beneficiaries of your generosity are illegal aliens. The illegals would pull up in nice shiny trucks, get out their 8-10 kids, and immediately demand a translator. Not request, DEMAND. If the madres didn't think we were giving them enough free stuff quickly enough, they would yell at us (in spanish, of course). People who do any volunteer work know that the illegals mooch off the charities, taking but rarely giving.
Charity starts at home. Don't give your money to organizations that are just giving it to criminals.
