Here in idaho we LOVE our broken down ole Ford trucks. We love our chew! And we LOVE messin with city folk!
I suggest yall just stay the fuck out of here.

Rude. I don't blame the people that want to move to Idaho. I was born in Boise. My mother is from Oregon. The Dalles. My father is from Vermont. My brother, who was born in Boise, now lives in California. He's a nuclear engineer for the Navy. I have relatives all over the country that are from Boise. They all miss Idaho. It's a great state and if people want to live here, it's a free country.
I know of one Californian that moved here and added some great things to our community. He cleans up properties, buys old buildings and renovates them, employing local businesses by local people, and he buys junkyard properties, cleans them up and rents them or sells them. I don't see the problem with that.
You don't represent all Idahoans.

Interesting link. Boise cops shoot to kill. You don't want to push them because they push back with lethal force. Here's a link: http://boiseguardian.com/2005/11/17/no-winner...

Give me a break. I want my local police department to roll hard and kick ass. Piss on those individuals who don't know how to behave in front of cops. Cops have a job to do and resisting them will only bring you pain. Jesus Christ! If a cop asks you what is going on and you come back with something like, "Where is your warrant?"... Expect to be treated like a piece of crap (that you are).

Yeah. Right. Never question authority.
"In August 1997, police officer Justin Volpe was knocked to the ground while at a bar. Officer Volpe erroneously believed that a man named Abner Louima had done this. While handcuffed in the squad car, officer Volpe and another officer struck Louima in the face with their fists. When they returned to the station, officer Volpe and another officer then shoved a wooden stick up Louima’s rectum, and then held it in his face. Louima who had nothing to do with knocking the officer down, was arrested and tortured. The officers involved threatened Louima not to tell anyone and then tried to cover up their excessive use of force. Officer Volpe violated Brooklyn police codes on force, and Louima’s civil rights.(Petterson, 1999:1-4)."

Wow, reaching back 12 years. That has a lot of credibility there. Are there some bad cops out there? Absolutely. But most are there to help and actually believe in making a difference. But remember, you have no right to question authority to a degree where it becomes an interference during an investigation. Why do you hate cops so much? Is it because you can't keep your mouth shut? Do you have turrets of common sense? Or were you once given a ticket you felt you did not deserve and you are too immature to move on? Just curious.

LOL!!!! You are so funny.
No, if you,ve checked my profile and read my posts you'd realize that it hasn't anything to do with the personal lives of the ones God said would be our protectors. There needs to be some kind of order, right? I want everyone to know that I respect authority. It was ordained by God that there would be many men of valor. Most of our police officers have a sincere desire to protect and serve the people. Unfortunatly there are always the crazy bas---ds that ruin it for all of us.

we are contractors and lived in the most beautiful central coast of calif. well with the illegals taking over calif. the job market being nil, unless you are a union worker you are damn lucky to have work here. we were forced to sell our house. i am retired and my husband still wants to work and after selling our house we decided to check out idaho. i have family in the meridian/boise area. well went to visit and ended up buying a house. we love the fact that you drive along and have old homes with horses, cows and crops next to houses. if the farmer can make money farming he will farm. or else he is forced to sell just like us. dont look down on us looking for a more beautiful nice place where the majority of people have your own christian conservative views that actually speak english.
It's not the illegals fault. It's the system. If our present system didn't want illegals here, they would put a stop to it.
I have a Mexican friend, in fact the one that cost me my job, say,
"If there is a new world order and they decide to kill 90% of the population, they would keep me. I work hard and am dedicated to what I do."
He's right. They will keep the ones that will serve the best and the rest of us will all be screaming about illegals and how they've ruined our country.
I beg to differ, gretchen. I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. My Mexican friend was born in California. Who gives a flying flip where anyone was born. We are all supposed to be brothers and sisters, right? Don't be a hater. Life is TOO short.

Laughable. I moved from California 10 years ago, my house? It cost $38,000 650 sq ft on 5/8 of an acre. It had been abandoned for 5 years and now it's one of the nicest on our road. We didn't move to one of the schmancy places, we're in a small little town (180 pop.) near Orofino. We moved because the politics in California were horrific, and becoming more so. Fed up with statists, and their gun grabbing laws we fled. My husband and I are down home types. We cut our own firewood, and stack it(what a concept). We do alot for ourselves, and help out our neighbors when we can. I faced alot of patent California haters when I moved here. The guy who built our modest shop was amazed we drove a beat up old Dodge rig like his. He was even more amazed that we were alot like him...and have remained friends with him & his family ever since!

Anyway, one or two "harsh" (we usually get 3 feet of snow & I love it) winters and the loser newbies will be scared off.
