I have been to the borough meetings and I have yet to see a petition so before you get all hyper you better get a clue and know what you are talking about. They said straight out it would take our football for the youth group away and nine chances out of ten the stadium would be locked. So half the park would be locked up. Do you realize all the events that part of the park holds throughout the year for the kids?
ask mr and mrs donches they have the misinformed petition!!!!

Exactly, these idiots don't realize the money something like that brings to a community. These people scream about taxes 24-7 and do everything they can to make sure nothing can come into their town to increase revenue. Coca Cola Park has been a boon to the East Side. This stadium would bring additional monies to gas stations, fast food places, markets, restaurants...who are these people kidding. They have no sense of community. They have no idea how money is made. They just whine about not having it.

CrewCC - nicely said. it would def. bring $$$ to the town and these tax nuts have no idea how to make money and is the reason they are in a hole to begin with - however its nothing like Iron Pigs stadium. The reason Santa and his Helper are using this term is because it was used at a meeting but dsnt resemble a stadium at all. He was even told at a meeting it was not a stadium - but Santa (Donchez) said himself that he wouldnt change it becasue it gets people involved. He is OK with misrepresentation.

Ask him yourself.

also very nicely said. the old people otto an the donches just need something to complain about. but i bet if they had kids and the filed was done they would be the first ones to use it. mrs donches said at a meeting that she stood on the field and saw nothing wrong with it. no clue mmm me see dirt me see grass and mee see lights field is ok in her eyes. whether they like it or not the field upgrades are gonna happen so i guess all the council menbers will get coal in there stockings this year from santa donches

People need to realize that there are fields for the "football" players to go. And for the "soccer" players to go. This would bring revenue to Emmaus. If there are tournaments, people will need to eat, purchase gas, etc. This will be more revenue for Emmaus businesses. The upgrade will pay for itself thoughout the years. Someone comes to my door they will get a piece of my mind. The "inner city" kids of Emmaus deserve things too. Not just the little snots of Upper Macungie... If they are sooooo speacial, let them start their own school district & stay out of ours!!!

Ok first of all why are people complaning about there would be no football feild for the football players if they built the new baseball feild, when there is a perfectly good one right behind it. That was bulit for football there are no soccer organized leauges in emmaus so why do we even have a soccer feild lined out at the park. And its really sad when one of the members on the Brought Conucel has kids that play on the feild and he even has one of those strike out the stadium signs. And if those people come by and ask me to sign the paper saying strkie out the staduim and iim gonna say is no get off my porch.!!!!!!

I am amazed that not once did you hear how this baseball stadium would effect our youth football teams. We currently have 3 Emmaus youth football teams that practice on that field and 2 teams that practice on the back field.Where are they to practice. All of the youth football home games are played on that front field. Our snack bar helps fund the youth football are we going to lose that also? The papers have been saying that it would help the baseball registration stay at $50. a player. Our football league already has to pay double that.

from what i am hearing foot ball will be moved to the high school practice fields next to the all purpose field. the reason football pays more is because of the equipment. that 50.00 for baseball is for intramural, tball and that. they have a hat shirt pants socks. travel baseball is closer to 100.00 to play.i hope football does have a place to go so our feeder program can help the high school

Just as I suspected. mcall.com has neeley's response to the Donches petition. Donches has fed lies to the community along with Otto and his little band of misfits. It's great reading. Vintage Emmaus. When is this town going to throw these people out for good?

Much as I enjoy reading about the hoopla in Mayberry, I have to say one thing really cracks me up. Andy, Barney, and Goober are out screaming about every little issue in Emmaus, but I don't recall ever reading about any of them freaking out over the proposed Swinger's Club. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? Scream about the school, the teams, baseball, the teachers, but keep your mouth shut about a sex club. LOL.
I agree with you...recently monies were spent on a hiking trail and they didn't have any problem since they were part of the special interest group that benefited from it. These guys are only complaining because it's a sport and the school is involved. The best part is that if they could read all they would need to do is access the Borough website and the actual proposal is posted. Now Mr. Donches is planning a rally on Saturday September 24 2010 at the park to protest and rile up the football parents,,,,,
