Hi everyone! I have been wanting to move to Eminence for quite some time. I have made a few trips there to look at some real estate and I found a place I am interested in.
My 76 year old mom is so coming with me and very excited, but I am concerned about the ambulance service. The property is located 2 1/2 miles down a gravel county road, crossing a creek a few times, then up a very steep narrow gravel drive. My friends here tell me I'm crazy, but Eminence is where we want to be. Is the ambulance service something we can rely on? Thanks for any advise you can give me. I'm sure I will have many more questions. |

As long as your not in any real hurry to get to the hospital. The first responders are good though, you can depend on them.

I would look into becoming an AirEvac member

Air Evac sounds like a good plan. I don't think there's anywhere near this property they could land but I suppose there is somewhere in town they can land. I will see what I can find out from the Chamber of Commerce. Thanks!

I called 911 about two years ago, and I have to commend the first responders on their actions and the amblunace came from Winona. The first responders were at my house within ten minutes and the ambulance was shortly behind them. They were very professional and did an excellent job. My son was air-evac to Springfield. There was some slight confusion on getting the landing and where, but it was handed quickly and I have no complaints. Because of their excellent response time, my son is still alive today.

AirEvac is a muct! We have great medics in shannon county and we as first first responders can get to most any locations within minutes. But time is a factor and that is where you need airevac, i think it is $ 50 a year per household, well worth the money. And welcome to our little chunck of heaven!
