Lets face it : over and over you hear of nothing but complaints about the EPD.. Most of Eminence's budget goes towards a police department that is constantly generating complaint from it's citizens .We give them new SUV's to drive and what do we get in return ? Well just ask around, and watch the news. Well, I think it's time for change, and I think that time is coming soon .There's no reason for a large police department anymore. VOTE!! for change next time around . Thanks

Are you kidding me?!? I have lived in Eminence my whole life and I personally don't think you could ask for a nicer bunch of guys to be on patrol. Leave them alone and find someone else to talk about, these guys do their jobs, create friendly relationships w/ citizens, and have NEVER made me have anything but respect for them.

Then you must be isolated and truly confined to your dwelling. Get out and listen to what people are saying ...

I hear what people are saying. I read it in the paper it seems like every week and now even on television, but I ask you to do this: Look at the people who are saying it and judge the department based on your own personal experiences. If you've had a bad experience I am sorry for you, but you can't blame the entire force for one mistake. Nobody is perfect, but I think that a lot of the people are more worried about their own personal agendas instead of the community as a whole.

I wonder about the history of some of the Police Officers on are squad. Where did they come from ? Why did they leave where they came from ? Humm!!!! Maybe you need to file for a open records report on the previous Departments these guys came from .....

Eminence does not send police officers (to my knowledge)to be trained at police academy's and this is why I question the integrity of some of are Officers.Look at the age of the Officers when they get hired. There usually hired in, in their early to mid 30's, leading me to believe, that they had carriers prior to coming to Eminence.Eminence is not a carrier advancement by far. So you have to ask your-self,Why would a Police Officer (in their 30's) would want to serve in Eminence? You can only use your imagination why they would. If they couldn't advance any-where else why would they come here? Maybe their history might be the problem,I don't know, but it makes you wonder.....

What has happened in a persons past cannot and should not always follow them. People make mistakes and people change. I do not know any of the officers well enough to know their history but as long as they treat me fair it is not my concern. As far as asking "why they come here to work so late in life?" The same can be done of all of us who continue to live here when the city itself has nothing to offer!
Rather than spending your time bashing the police department/officers maybe you should put some of your energy into bringing bigger and better things to the town. Right now all we have are a few churches, liquor stores, and car lots. If you want to bring about change bring about a positive one.

Listen, there has been several opportunities for bigger and better things to happen to the city.but guess what ,it gets shot down time after time .The only big thing happening right now is a worthless police department. The main reason why their not up to par is because of the lack of experience and incompidency of the one they have to answer to.That being the mayor. This mayor is a yes man ,and he does enerything that the chief tells him to do .

So it is the police department's fault that the mayor has no backbone?

You mean that you ever read. Well, like I said before get out of your isolated dwelling, get out, and get a life. Learn to respect other peoples opinions. I see that your the type of person that wants people to comform to your way of thinking, but your way of thinking sucks. You are truly a prisoner in your own home. Oh yea,and talk about "dumb",you neeed to learn how to spell. Beleive is spelled B-L-I-E-V-E .

If it makes you feel better to try down someone over a typo go for it. I have a feeling I know who you are and as usual there is not another person left in town to pay much attention to your own lies adn personal agenda issues. I am only here because I am bored at work and have nothing better to do than try and get some sense into your head! You have already lost so much to fight a cause that only seems to be a problem for you. Get over yourself and move on or better yet, move out of HC and leave the rest of us to leave in peace in our little community. You didn't get the votes last time and you won't get them again. Glad to see you found this site to at least allow you to vent without having to see you on television or read your 'views' in the HC Local.:)

If he could prove that he changed he can't be counted out...you never know what one of us dumb hicks may do. Of course I'd have to check with the police department first to make sure it was okay.....wouldn't I?

I seriously doubt we are related and we sure couldn't have went to school together because if we did you would know that I am always right!:)
Don't get me wrong, I've heard stories but I can only base/form my thoughts on the actions of the officers that I have come in contact with. Now there is one that I would LOVE to see gone...he is a horrible person, but again can I bash the entire department based on my dislike of one officer?

Don't ask me. Write down the plate number and call to report it. That makes more sense than posting it here on the forum.

Daily Horoscope for December 18

Libra

Throughout the rest of the month you'll enjoy the security and comfort that you gain from being in familiar places surrounded by familiar faces. You won't be happy about straying too far from home, and you'll rush back there as soon as possible. This is a great time to consider ways in which you can improve the appearance of your home or garden.
