Trial resumes for York man accused of beating 2-year-old to death

After a break for Veterans Day, testimony continues this morning at the York County Judicial Center in the beating death of 2-year-old Darisabel Baez.

I hope this little girl gets the justice she deserves. I have been following this since day 1 and what happened to Darisabel is too horrific to even read about. I can't imagine the hell this baby endured. All while her mother sat by and let it all happen. It breaks my heart and I pray to God the justice system does not fail her. Sadly it already has in regards to Neida's plea agreement. The fact that that animal will be out of jail and still be of child bearing age sickens me. Why the hell did they do that deal? They did not need her testimony! Darisabel's severely beaten body is testimony enough to the horrors she endured. He completely intended on killing her. What else could be the outcome of beating a baby for an HOUR??

Harve Johnson's refusal to look at the photos of the injuries he caused to Dari and to plug his ears to avoid hearing the testimony, pretty much says it all.

I feel sorry for the police officers, the emergency medical people, the court staff, etc., who have to watch and listen to this. Personally, I couldn't do it. I have to force myself to read the news articles.

I can only pray that the Judge and Jury sentence him to death as soon as possible. As for Neida, I pray that she will be put in public population in the prison and somehow and in some way shape or form Darisabel will get her Justice!!!!

The word animal is too good for this sub-human piece of garbage. Mother animals defend their young from predators. This woman should be facing the death penalty also. But since she isn't, she should at least be sterilized so she can't do it again.

Only problem with this is that he will appeal a couple times ... probably won't get the "shot" for 10+ years. Considering the charge, he might not make it in prison long enough to get his "shot".

I really just dont know how much more i can take of reading this. BUT its so hard not to because its almost if i want to have some kind of understanding..which there is none. This girl is 19, a child herself, and was scared becuase she did'nt want to get hit. I would take a beating over my child ANY FU**IN DAY!! She was granted a plea agreement for this piece of sh*t testimony?

You have got to be kidding... he threatened to hit her that is why she didn't intervene???? I would sacrifice my life for my child. I'd say bring it on!!!!!!!!! If she was afraid to interrupt the beating, that's what 911 is for. And what mother wouldn't take the beating until the police arrive to avoid having their child killed? This story has made me sick to my stomach from day one. I hope the mother (if that's what you can call her) and her worthless boyfriend both rot in hell.

I totally agree with you. She went back to sleep knowing he made your two your old daughter stand in the corner for waking up early. She was only two years old she doesn't know any better. I can't even call her a mother b/c she is not a mother. If so the baby girl could be alive right now. I can't stand to see someone else even say the wrong thing to my baby boy so I be damn if I would have stood their and aloud that crazy s**t to happen. I would be going to trail for murdering his a**. It killed me even more that she can get on the stand and say what happen knowing she didn't do anything to help and to say I was scared.
