San Rafael man found shot to death in Emeryville

A San Rafael man found dead inside a car parked at the Emeryville marina is the city's first homicide victim of 2009.

They should check his computer. It is probably another craigslist or online meeting problem. Why else would a San Rafael man be all the way out in Emeryville, does not make sense?

I am from San Rafael and visit friends out in Emeryville all the time. It's not more than 20 to 25 minutes from here!

Ha. I find it so funny that people think it's a big deal he was in Emeryville as though it is in another country. It is so close! I went there at least 2 nights a week for 3 years for college, I go to visit my friends a couple times a month, I go to shop every once and awhile. It could be a million reasons, no big mystery there...

Seriously, Emeryville is not far at all. And it is a much nicer area than it used to be just ten years ago. Apparently not quite as safe as I thought!

There's no way scietifically possible to get to Emeryville from San Rafeal without passing through the Van Allen belt.
The radiation would kill anybody in milliseconds.
We've been trying to overcome this problem for years.

What? Emeryville's homicide rate is almost zilch. Has been for years. They have some crime, usually perptrated by kids meandering in from the Oakland border, drawn to the vibrant retail scene. They snash through car windows park at the hotels failry often...and oftne are caught. The cops aren't strapped like they are in Oakland so they can address the perps. Note: I live in Oakland on that Eville border.
