The bufoonery that takes place here as dialogue is precious. These same nitwits who question the veracity of a simple engineering report are probably the same ones who believe in man made global warming based on libraries of conflicting information.

"You can get a reputable engineering firm to prove or disprove whatever you pay it to prove or disprove." Granpa do you know what the word "reputable" means? Apparently not.

Well it is no surprise, as was said before, all kinds of kooky excuses would be found to whine about the bottling company. So predictable, so ignorant.

On one side you have verifiable scientific facts, on the other side you have a fuzzy anti business faction.

It is a waste of time trying to have a meaningful discussion with people who ignore facts.

I'm going to amend my earlier statement. Evidently it's more politically acceptable to pump water from the ground, use it to irrigate crops, and then ship the resulting agricultural product out of the community than it is to just package and ship the water.

this is an unsustainable project. aquifers should not be for sale. the contract should require extraction from the aquifer to stop if the well tests fall below the existing test results, or if neighbors' wells start to dwindle.

Ron...I asked you a question. Since you seem to know so much about the subject and the quality of the science...well?

Remember what the
"reputable" tobacco inductry scientists said for decades?

How gullible are you exactly?

Lake County Residents should be informed of this. Most Lake Countians do not know that they get there water from region 5, which is the same as region in Orland.
Many in Lake County went dry this past summer. The water tables are very low.

It is too bad that fantasy has taken over the issue rather than science. Real science says this project will have zero impact on the aquifer yet those opposed must use the aquifer as an arguement because they have nothing else.

Dude- lay off the Lake County "green bud" for a second... have you not heard that California is in a drought? Do you not remember that our "Governator" went to the President and asked him do declare a state of emergency for California? Go on Ken Salazar's web page, well better yet, don't. We cant change the narrow mindedness of people anyway, lol!

And one other question: Can you make it rain?

Ron Acevedo posted this some time ago and it is still exactomunco correct.

The engineering company deals in facts. There is ample water. The only thing left to be determined is what excuse will be used next to stop the project?

Thanks Ron

I know it would be too much to expect you to read the facts or respect the facts. The engineering report is in the article. This operation will not be detrimental to water levels but being anti business of any kind you will blather on anyway.
What a pathetic individual you must be. Perhaps a shutin?
So now you are saying that shutins are pathetic? You are digging yourself a BIG hole there, bud. Might be wise to shut up or use a name other than your own.

So the hired scientists say the aquifer is "prolific."

And remember the paid scientists who said, for decades, that there is no link between cigarette-smoking and lung cancer.

Gotta love those scientific reports!!

Still true.

And the answer is......you can't refute the science so .....Deny the facts!

Thanks avocado.
