I've always paid annually, you get the best price. However...you have to go to the gym or no matter what the price you're wasting your money. TRX at 7pm tonight, don't be late!

I just have a little weight set that works fine for me, no wasting time standing in line for a machine.

Of course it has its down side, no oogling the really hot women at the gym.

I don't use machines much. I prefer group classes like spin, yoga, or TRX. Swinging kettle bells is good too. Machines are boring. Having a personal trainer is worth every penny you pay.

I personally think big gyms are lame. I agree on a personal trainer being really valuable...if they're good, of course. They should push you to get more than you thought possible out of your workout, while doing it safely. So many people get gym memberships this time of year, but you have to go! It's about changing your lifestyle, and a certified fitness trainer can help you get the most out of your sessions. I found I needed to change up my training too, because I was stuck in a rut of doing the same series of exercises. Crossfit training is great, mixing cardio, stretching, flexibility, strength-training and then switching it up. Stay focused!
