I agree with Dude. And just what kind of school is this anyway that makes kids wash pots and pans? Kid are supposed to be going to school to get an education not wash pots and pans (unless it was in a home economics class).

Sounds more to me like a prison, washing pots and pans, than a school. The pricipal probably treats these kids with alot of disrespect.

My sister had a kid in her class who would stand up and scream at her, I HATE YOU ... for no reason and then shit his pants, this disrupted the whole class every single day and the smell.
I think this punishment is perfect, the principal actually doing a good job, washing pots and pans won't kill her. she isn't getting education at all if she is peeing herself all day to get out of it, maybe she won't like washing the pots and pans and will return to class and cut the crap.

Did you READ the news story first before commenting?
The girl was told to wash pots and pans and refused. The principal then yelled at her so much that she was frightened into peeing her pants.
what IS it with people who make comments on stuff they don't even bother to get all the facts on.

still the fact was she refused to wash the pots and pans and that wouldn't have killed her, if this was the first time she created this scene it wouldn't have been a issue so the brat must have a pattern of doing this over and over. Most teachers do not send for the principal for a pee accident. lol lol..

DANVILLE, Pa.(AP)-- A Pennsylvania girl may have to do community service for wetting her pants.

School officials say she did it on purpose. But her mother told a newspaper that the 12-year-old special education student wet her pants because she was frightened by the principal.

Details are scarce, with school officials at Danville Middle School declining comment.

The mother says the girl refused to wash pots and pans after a holiday lunch last month, then wet her pants after teachers summoned the principal. Police have told the girl's parents they could probably avoid a fine if the girl does community service.
Ok, since you peeps still haven't read it, the girl was a special education student. AFTER a holiday lunch, she was told to wash pots and pans.(why, students are supposed to go to school to get an education, NOT do housekeeping chores). The girl refused and THEN the principal was called in. The principal lit into her so much she peed her pants.
Not the article does not say it, but the police must have been called in and she must have gone before some kind of judge, because the article says she has to do community service.
So my question is: since when is peeing pants by a child an arrestable offense?
The child is 12 years old, a special education student. Wouldn't a social service or family court be a better place instead of police?

If in fact the girl was a special ed student...the whole incident is wrong. It shouldn't have been made public. Its a violation of the childs right to privacy. She has obviously been classified as having some form of a disability.
you are so right

Are they serious, arrested? For what? That is so pathetic.

They should be arrested for being soooo stupid, not the kid.

This is insane!!! What is wrong with that school ? Is this the same Danville PA where they have one of the larges chridrens hospitals in the state of PA? That does not say much. Come on people get real here. I think Mom and Dad if they have not already should seek legal help and nail them to the wall. Make those school officials pee their pants.

I dont think so, they victimized a special needs child, for that the punishment should be ruthless and terribly violent...id be glad to do it.
