This guy is expected to run a city and he cant pay his water bills on time? Something wrong here. The voters, again, are not paying attention. What an embarassment to him, his family, and the community!

As usual ... typical hater comments ...

Mistakes happen. Maybe his wife pays his bills and screwed up. Maybe the check was sitting on the counter and he forgot to pick it up to drop it off on his way through town. Maybe he swore he paid it online and it didn't go through. Maybe he paid the wrong company online.

I've made all of these mistakes. Assumed my spouse paid the bill when he didn't, forgot to pay it online so "I'll just pay it in person", then leave the check at home, and the "thought it went through" online has happened more than once (but not more than twice, I'm extra careful now). I've also had my water shut off because my ex-husband paid the Del-Co water bill to the Del-Co Sewer company two months in a row ... they're two different entities with essentially the same name. Simple, honest mistake.

Mistakes happen and the fact that it's "news" is really sad.

Did it ever occur to anyone, maybe he simply forgot to pay it? Everyone at one time or another has forgot a bill at some piont in their life. I forgot to pay my cable bill last month on the first. Seen it paid it on the third. First time I ever failed to pay a bill on time. Anyone who says they have never forgot a bill once in their life is a liar, plain and simple. The fact he's a politican makes him above the rest of us. I think not.

Nearly $100,000 a year job and can't write a check for $260? Deadbeat.

The rest of society is perfect. They never make a mistake. The truth is most of these people probably need to look at their id to remember their own address. If you put their brain inside a hummingbird. It would fly backward. If this guy wasn't a politican we'd never heard about it.

I think the fact that he could only make a partial payment, when he makes a six figure salary, tells me he is living beyond his means. Still, not really much of a "news" story....

Who called the news outlets about this, and why is it news? Do we care? Should he have his personal utilities drug out in public?

Wow, this is the type of comments, that just show people will never ever be able to have educated conversations about things. I'm pretty sure his political affiliations have nothing to do w/ whether he pays his bills or not. Another great example of online trolling.

Really? REALLY? And you want us to take you seriously because...? Your statement is overreaching at least, and completely incorrect at most. The guy forgot to pay his water bill. Wow. And you turn it into a political statement? Nowhere in the article does it say he's a "lib," or anything else. Did you look it up or were you just guessing to make a stupid, inflammatory comment?

Please don't get me started on the many, MANY neocons w/"strong values" that have been caught w/their pants, or wallets down, thinking they are above the law, both civil and criminal. There's not enough character space on these boards for that.

Even if you're dumber than a box of rocks, please try to stay relevant to the topic. Thanks, "the truth."
