NO! This is what happens when an 80 year old doctor thinks he is still on top of his game and where, in fact, he is too feeble to be practicing dentistry on people.
Don't the parents realize this fact?
She should have been to a Ped Dentist!
Why is it that doctors everywhere think they can still have patients at this old age?
Number one, they are not even up to the new findings, even though they have to take continuing courses, that doesn't mean they attend the seminars.
Number two, they migrate to Florida and work part time and some of them see patients in between holes{gulf}!
Give it up while you're ahead.
There should be limits of age when practicing on people.
this is an oral surg who also has his 80+ wife working in his offic and they both should have been pot out to pasture a long time ago

Where did you get 13 teeth? She went to have two teeth pulled, not 13. She was 13 years old.

He was commenting on a post from a Lorain that said her husband went to this same dentist to have two wisdom teeth pulled but because of a mix up pulled 13 teeth.

I think if she had not had any previous surgeries that required anesthesia it's possible that she might have had an unknown allergy and had an allergic reaction. This is so sad.

Thank you for that clarification. I hadn't seen that other article.

It's too bad they can't give an allergy test first, to see if someone is allergic to anesthesia. I suppose even if it comes up negative, though, you never really know for sure. I took penicillin off and on for various reasons from the time I was little and then suddenly, when I was 27, I had an allergic reaction to it and was told to never take it again.
This poor girl and her family. My heart goes out to them. So sad.

I have read about deaths due to anesthesia allergies. Sadly, you might not know you're allergic until you undergo the anesthesia. I taught a little boy who had lost a family member to that. When the boy was due to have surgery, he had to undergo many tests to see if he might have the same allergy. He was ok and came through it very well. I'm not sure this is the case with this young girl, but it could be a possibility. My prayers for her family.
... you taught him to do what? ride his bike? make his own meds? do his own test, pull his own teeth?

This is the sad truth. The situation is unlikely to change anytime soon given our local and national political climate

I just find it so interesting if you feel the doctor is to old then you as the parent or patient have the right not to use that physician..Anyway you look at this right or wrong there is someones child who is gone and thats the only FACT we know .. So lets just send out thoughts to the parents and leave the investigation up to the police and not judge till we know the FACTS.. RIP
