The tax payers have been bled enough. Fo 20 years the ditrict and the teachers have gotten what ever they want and still district 100 has the lowest test scores in the state. It's time to throw the bums out. We should have a Tea Party in front of the district office.....I'd like to see a few district employees in jail

How can Ed Test be on the school board when his daughter is the high school principal ? Is this legal ? I know Jersey County is corrupt but this is a bit to much !

Why is it a big deal? You have Pete Hatfill who is on the board and his wife teaches for the district. I would much rather see Ed Test on the board than Jeff Ferguson or Keith Steinacher who tried to sue the school district... Jeff's idea if he got on the boards was "not to pay the bonds"... That is a real intelligent move... Geesh...

So you like corruption ? The tax payers were ripped off and should not have to pay for the two schools we did not vote for. The old guard fought to keep honest people from being on the board and opening up the books

But now we have an all new board... No one that is NOW on the board had ANYTHING to do with the two new schools... Let's give this new board a chance... I have a feeling it will be much better now, especially that the current superintendent will be gone soon... not soon enough but still will be gone...

People need to get over the 2 new schools... they are built... Not like they will tear down the buildings...

Illinois is the most corrupt state in the Union and Jersey County is the most corrupt county in Illinois. The employees of district 100 run the district, set their own wages and hire their friends and family members. It's time we had a tea party in Jersey County

Red Bull, you are right about the State of Illinois. I really don't believe Jersey School District is the only one corrupt. The amount of money that the state owes just Jersey School District alone is sickening. The last amount I heard was $1.6 million... The state is at the root of most of the district/s problems.

What kind of a message does it send to the children when the school board can lie to the voters and tax payers, break the law and get away with it ? Cook County is the most corrupt county in Illinois but Jersey is a close second. The school board should be in the same prison with Rezko and Blagojevich. If we could find a judge here in Illinois who isn't corrupt maybe these people would go to prison

If you see nothing wrong with this then you should move to Chicago. Illinois has been corrupt for so long that people see nothing wrong with the "Chicago Way

Well in the area this is happening, it is hard to find someone who doesn't have a connection with someone else.

This is a whole new board. Hopefully lots of money saving ideas will come with this board. The building of the new schools and past appointments of people were from the old school board. It has nothing to do with the 7 that will on the board come May 4th. I do hope things change in the district but there is always going to be the "good ole boy" system.... you find that anywhere...

Can someone tell me one thing that Pete Hatfill has done that benefits his wife? Any person can have their own agenda but it isn't one person that makes it happen. It is a group of 7. Pete Hatfill, Ed Test, or whoever you want to put down, can want anything... whether they get it is a whole other story.

Some of you are like the rest of the people in this country that think just when someone new takes a position, the economy/other issues should change immediately. Just give them a chance to see if they are going to do what they say. Just like President Obama... Lord knows it took Bush years to screw up this country and everyone is on President Obama because he hasn't "fixed" it yet. I am not saying he will but you have to give him a chance, just like you have to give this new school board a chance.
