The prison has been on lock down for 2 weeks now, what is going on We hear nothing, know nothing about what is happening with our loved ones that are incarcerated there. Like I said, what is going on??

My sincere sympathy goes out to the entire family of the inmate that was killed. His family does have the right to know what happened to him. Have a heart, will you!!

Today makes 15 days and Saguaro is STILL on lockdown status. No arrest has been made. Gosh, I guess you do get what you paid for..$68 to house hawaii inmates per day. Our state officials are clowns. I swear there's more intelligent people in prison that should be Hawaii Legislators. Let's get an UPDATE. I'm sure you have some idea who did this after looking at the survillance or maybe that's extra and not included in the $68. Have your reporters call Hawaii DPS and demand and update.

I THINK THEY NEED TO GIVE THE DEATH PENALTY OUT MORE THEY WILL SAVE THE 68 DOLLARS A DAY THESE CRIMINALS ARE JUST A BURDON ON SOCIETY. THEY GET OUT AND GO RIGHT BACK IN. PEOPLE SHOULD THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHOS LIVES THEY AFFECTED NEGATIVELY NOT ABOUT THE POOR INMATES. I CANT BELIEVE HOW WARPT PEOPLES REALITIES ARE.

You should be ashamed to think that these individuals are a burden on society, for many of us these individuals are our Dads, Moms, Aunts, Uncles, Brothers or Sisters. They have made wrong choices in life and are paying the price for their actions. We need to work together in the spirit of Aloha and help these individuals because regardless of what they have done they are still human beings. You need to remember that two wrongs never make a right; do you live a absolute law abiding life? NO YOU DO NOT! no one can so the next time you break the law remember your words and just imagine if it is you locked up with some uncaring, heartless person making comments regarding the death sentence and burden on society

I started http://www.hawaiiprisonreform.com
from behind prison walls in 2003 when I was shipped off to a mainland prison, far away from everything that I ever loved. The Human Rights violations that I have endured throughout my ten years in prison almost took my life. I am living a new life now, being a productive member of society and loving every minute of it. My heart goes out to the families, loved ones and friends of the inmates in prison. Nobody could ever know what it feels like to be in one of those places until you are there with no voice and being at the mercy of your abusive keepers. Clayton Frank knows me very well because I sued him several times for being such a cruel person to me and to those around me. I know the guy that was killed and he was a gang member. He got what he deserved. http://www.hawaiiprisonreform.com

Whether the man deserved to die or not, I just want to know, HOW THIS HAPPENED IN THE HIGHEST SECURITY AREA WITHIN THIS PRISON???? Where were the guards? And since there appears to be video footage of this, who was watching the cameras and why did it take so long to "discover" him? Seems to me there are many more people involved and guilty, than just those that did the actual murder.

The guards that work in CCA jails, prisons and detention facilities are nothing more than normal people that responded to a security guard ad in the news paper. The highest security area of the prison is open during the day just like the medium and low security housing areas. But they are seperated and housed together in the same units or housing areas. When I was there they would house murders with drug offenders. So in all honesty it has gotten better to seperate offenders due to there security classification levels. I personally know the man who murdered that Gang member and I wouldn't think twice about leaving my own baby or child with him. He is great and loving man, I will love him and stand next to him for however long he lives. He protected me, loved me and fed me as if I was his brother. It's unfortunate that someone lost there life . But beatings and fights happen daily behind those walls. I was there and I lived it. I think your over thinking it to be honest. They let prisoners out of there cells for most of the day. Imagine it like a college campus, The doors open a certain time and your free to move about the facility at that time. If you want to get someone you have every opportunity to do it. Bronson was a complete punk who messed with the wrong bull and got the horns. CCA is notorious for not hiring enough staff to watch the prisoners and to use there cameras and security equipment such as automated locks to house and manage prisoners. They only review the cameras if there is a reported problem. They obviously found the dude dead after doing there walk through. There really is nothing to say here. Hawaii ships off there prisoners to the cheapest provider of housing and security and they obviously don't care. I built http://www.hawaiiprisonreform.com to expose these things since 2003 and your only noticing and caring now after some gang member got beat a little to hard. More prisoners die in Halawa Correctional Facility than in the mainland facility. The guards in Hawaii sleep on shift, cancel all of our programs, and abuse over time with no one including you not batting a eye. It is well known that most of the people in there are low level drug offenders or property criminals. Do they need to be housed with murders and whoever else is there for violent crimes for prolonged periods of time? Nothing will get done if you don't do anything.

To 808inmate, as a former inmate, I believe you would know what SHIP means and this is where the slain inmate was being house.
Do not presume to know what I think or do. If you did know me, you would know exactly what I do to HELP both incarcerated and released inmates, NO MATTER their crime. CCA can best be described as "prison profiteers" and their actions in this mess shows exactly what intelligence level they possess.
I applaud you for trying to make sense of all of this as well as give your own opinion of justification, but clearly you present yourself as the same type of person you fought so strongly against while you were 'in'.
NO ONE deserves to be murdered, taught a lesson maybe but NOT murdered.
Incidently, I've noticed no new posts on your website. Some of us would be interested on 'your take' of the propossed new prison in Pu'unene.

Nothing to worry about, the biker gangs often get cut up by the guards and cornholed before that and they get fed to the pigs in the barn nearby. I was amazed that some of the latin kings, surreno-13 and vice lords have been hanging around our school and training center on Southport Drive near Cheshire Drive here in Bethesda, Maryland harassing our elderly ladies and asking for money. Deport the latinobums and let them rot in the sewers in guatamala or mexico. Langley Park is a garbage dump because of the latinobums and sp--s taking over our land. I want to make mention that I have been a staffer for over three years now and a number of my clients live in a neighborhood where latinobums are harrassing and intimidating our American elderly women and pandhandling. Crime is rampant in the low income Section 8 neighborhoods and many of my clients have told me and the other staff here in Saint Lukes House on 6040 Southport Drive off of Cheshire Drive in Bethesda, Maryland that they want out and in a better neighborhood. The latinobums are causing trouble and they need to be deported and hanged from a tree because I say so too.
