During Thur. nights practice, I was watching my daughters softball practice, and Coach Weber was cursing and screaming at those boys we heard it word for word at the softball fields. My seven yeard old along with many other girls and other parents also heard him and obviously weren't very happy. I dont think the parents of those boys would be either if they would of heard him. I can see being hard on them But cursing loud enough for seven years old to hear him?

Get over it! Maybe you will live with your daughter her entire life so you can be there to "earmuff" her. Get a life!

Its riduculous to have a "who cares" attitude about someones actions that is directly influencing young kids. Even in the military basic training they tried to minimize the cursing and abuse. Its called self-control. Our moral standards seem to be slipping away with the "if its not hurting me directly then who cares". This is not the first thing ive heard of coach weber that is distressing about how he acts in public and even private... Maybe someone in charge should worry less about hurting "the program", and more about how are kids are being shaped directly and indirectly. Teachers and coaches are not held up to high enough standards. What they do in the class and out of the class should be takin into serious consideration.
I also believe teachers arent paid for what they do and the stress they have to deal with nowadays trying to raise other peoples kid in their classroom.
Our country was founded on morals. Seems simple but we have lost sight of them. Everyone wants to be respected but you have to accept them first and not expect them to respect you... Amber is not alone wanting to raise her children a safe and decent society...

I agree....My boy didn't like all the verbal abuse he was subjected to and that's one reason he didn't play.

Football is a sport for mentally and physically tough kids. It isn't a matter of influence. You are the parent use it as an opportunity to teach and set your own standards.
I'm not sure when this supposed event happened, but that is a rarity. Coach Weber has to be aware of those types of things. We have a head hunting school board that would love to get rid of him. Quit name bashing a good coach.
By the way...take your AAU softball elsewhere if you don't like it. I'm sure Coach Fougerousse is thankful to be allowed to use the school's facilities.

It was probably a good thing your son gave up football. I wouldn't want a weak minded person lined up with me in crucial game situations. Do you really believe strong men and women are created by shielding them from tough situations. Is that how previous generations did it? I had coaches ride me hard, but my parents didn't allow quitting. I worked through it and found out the challenge made me stronger on and off the field.

That was just a stupid thing to say... There is a line between coaching and abusing your athority. Screaming and cussing does not have to be the only way to motivate kids to do their best. Calling someones kid weak minded is pretty.. well, weak. I think Coach Dungy does sorta decent with his teams and hes not abusive.
Nowadays it seems harder and harder to find mature minded individuals who want to participate.

You must be a typical Linton idiot coach.My boy is tough.He gets it from his old man!...I could buy and sell the whole lot of you greene county coaches with the change I carry in my pocket.I'm an exceptional businessman and I know exactly how to deal with people unlike you.My boy would have been a stud for them.They missed out because they don't know how to treat people fairly.I could teach them some lessons!
