The State of Alabama gifted a piece of land to the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. This land was the ancient site of a Creek Indian ceremonial grounds and village. Instead of preserving the site, or even building a museum, etc the PBCI went straight to building a casino there. Just this week several Creek Indian leaders tried to get access to the site to pray for their ancestors who were dug up to make way for construction. These peaceful Indians were quickly arrested for trespass. When bail was posted for the "trespassers" PCBI filed additional charges to keep one of the "trespassers" locked up.

The Poarch Band of Creeks will soon be exposed for who/what they really are.

Our Native American ancestors lived and roamed EVERYWHERE in this part of the country. If all areas where people lived and buried their dead were off limits, there would not be any open land left. Later on settlers buried some in cemeteries but many buried their loved ones outside their houses with wooden markers and those are discovered dailey. Lets honor, respect, and cherish the past but not let it be quicksand that swallows us. Move on.
