Nuclear is a better answer than this.

I just hope we can sell some of this power to Marin. After the power plant gets built and is operational, we need to build another State prison next to it. This will help handle the overcrowding at the "medical correctional facility" or as I affectionately call it "psycho-slam".

Folks, get over it. Solano County has been delegated a "cesspool county" for the Bay Area. You are not going to see these projects being proposed in Napa or Marin Counties because the lawyers and accountants that live there would not stand for it.

While I agree with the nuclear tact, I suggest that Augustine consider building it in his backyard. I would bet he wouldn't be as supportive then.

Funny, but it always comes down to money for the city officials, jobs for the unions, and peace and quiet for those who have to live with it. You move to the country so you don't have to put up with idiots and they follow you out there with their idiot projects.

I say bring Rancho Seco on line and quit playing games in other people's back yards...

Nuclear would be much quieter/lesser emissions (no emissions I believe?) alternative. But I'm sure the NIMBY's would be much more worried about that. Some of the outrageous spouting off and fear mongering last night was INCREDIBLE.(The plant is going to POISON everything around it with methane etc.) OMG... the crazies are out in force for this one. It will be interesting to continue to go to the meetings and watch it unfold.

I will add mine to the emerging "vox populus" and go with nuclear. To hell with Jane Fonda.

I also like coal.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Taurus

The current planetary influences tend to make everyone groan a bit. Life is not perfect and may be less pleasant than usual, but what can you do? Get real for one thing! That's the way it is and once you accept this, everything becomes much easier to handle. Be solid and dutiful - qualities for which the Bull is renowned - and you'll come out the other side with your halo polished. Focus on some undeveloped potential in your life and take the first steps towards realising it.
