The Melrose Park Police Department is completely out of control.
Take home cars for officers like pitassi, castellan and rinella none are need. Why does rinella need a take home car? anyone? anyone?
Officer who live out of town like manzo, boik, nowicki, bartamio,mo ss,pesce, lavalis
detectives and tact officers who haven't solved a case in years.
What a waste

115 days and still no movement in the Susek murder. The Melrose Park Police Department isnít even actively working on the case. With no leads or suspects this case is cold due to lack of knowledge from the first officer on the scene (Lt Dimaio) to the investigators ( Lt Greco, Officer Scudiero, Salvi Decarlo & Shankle) and still the beat goes on with rumors of promotions coming to one of the lead investigators. Melrose Park will always be run the wrong way. They donít care about police work itís about the police perks.
First thing in the morning around 8:15am or so Castellan rings the breakfast bell and all his cronies (Licther,Greco,Scudiero,Andzal di,Lorenzo)line up and walk or drive across the street and have an hour and a half breakfast right infront of everyones face including chief pitassi without a care in the world. Not like they have any crimes to solve. After breakfast the groups returns to the police station. Now its relax time Castellan, Anzaldi, Marcia & the records girls, any working Lt, Rinella and Lichter all digest their breakfast by putting their feet up on their desks and enjoying their flat screen televisions in their offices watching deluxe cable channels still thereís no crimes to solve . After that the group concentrates on lunch. Sometimes itís an upstairs party or luncheon that Marcia has arranged with only selected guest of her choosing or in Rinellas case it almost time to go home in his take home squad because ďHEĒ decided to start work at 5am. Well the day is almost over time to pick up the kids and go home. What a long day of work at a police department with no crimes solved.

You spend lots of time keeping track of what everyone else is doing. You appear to be very unhappy and disgruntled. You run off at the mouth without checking your facts. You have to be a working investigator to work on a homicide....

Police officers are public servants itís the duty of the community to keep track of what you are doing, but obviously you are for the clout system since you seem so offended.

So maybe since your running your mouth you can tell the facts?

What is incorrect?
Is there a suspect(s)?
Shouldnít the department be informed of any developments?
Is the Susek murder solved?
Wasnít the case mishandled from the start?
Arenít the detective under educated in this type of investigation and arenít all the detective positions clout positions?
Isnít it true that the Susek murder is only one of the many unsolved murders in Melrose Park?
Shouldnít the public be informed of the development on this case?
And no Iím not disgruntled. As a member of the MPPD I just expect the police department to be held at a higher level do their jobs like a working officer which is serve and protect and solve crimes. Especially when it involves one of their own, but you have displayed the problem with the police department telling people they are wrong to expect justice.
Please tell everyone what are the facts?
Doesnít Castellan take 5-7 police department employees daily to breakfast for over their allotted 20 min break time?
Arenít those officers the chosen few or can anyone take a breakfast break in front of everyone for over an hour without getting days taken away?
Didnít Castellan sell stolen radios to the Melrose Park Police Department for an inflated cost?
Donít DC Castellan & Chief Pitassi have take home cars which is unnecessary?
Doesnít Rinella have a taken home car that is not necessary and doesnít he take start his shift whenever he wants 5am how can he get away with that? Are DC Castellan, Chief Pitassi and Rinella reporting their cars as income to the IRS?
Doesnít Lichter come in drunk daily and give the mayor $1000 a year to keep his job and wasnít he Zitoís partner in going to the government because he was put on midnights. Didnít Lichter leave to join the state police and didnít they tell him thanks but no thanks after a few weeks but in Melrose Park Police Department he is in the chosen few club? Didnít Licther strike down pedestrians in a police car and leave the scene? And wasnít the SOP violated when Licther wasnít given a sobriety test after the accident?
Donít officer and employees (Andzaldi,Castellan,Rinella,Ma rica,Detective Unit,Chief Pitassi) have flat scene tvís and premium cable that they watch during work hours? Is there any other work place that allows this ecspecally a police deparment with unsolved crime?
Isnít Andzaldi a collecting disabled officer from Stone Park that cant work there but can work at Melrose Park Police Department for $75,000
Isnít Alex Scudiero not certified to work in the IT department and comes and goes as he pleases yet somehow he collects 8hr a day? Just check the sign in sheet.
Didnít Licther and Treffen muscle businesses in uniform on duty to buy ads for Castellans man of the year booklet?
Please tell us what the facts really are?

So, DiMaio was the midnight shift supervisor that botched the crime scene? Not surprising. He is a hothead that needed to be fired just for the many, many civil lawsuits he had pending against him. He will probably be chief someday! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

This is not a cover up itís the normal day to day operations of the Melrose Park Police Dept. No pride, No shame. No respect, and No knowledge on how to secure a crime scene, gather evidence or solve a crime, but what they can do is watch TV at work, come in drunk, sit and have breakfast for hours have a sgt in change of nobody and take home squads, and hire inexperienced computer personnel. They are very good at that. Clout is King

HOW FAR BACK IN THE DAY WOULD YOU HAVE TO GO TO FIND WHAT YOU CALL GOOD POLICE OFFICERS AND WHAT DID THEY DO BETTER THAN TODAY'S OFFICERS. I ALWAYS HERE STORIES ABOUT HOW GREAT THE DEPT WAS AND HOW IT WAS A GROUP OF REAL POLICE MAN 20 YEARS AGO.
